Thanks KTM Nepal Team for this opportunity to ride to Lo Manthang. It's alway something I wanted to do since I heard about the place more than 20 years back and also after trekking there about 6 years back. I truly appreciate it. For aspirant riders, please note that this 16 minute video is just the highlights. The 2x2 formation, water crossings, scenic shots are all made so that we have some really nice footage for this video. Sixteen minutes is not enough to capture the depth of this amazing experience. Be prepared for hour upon hour of extreme dust, bone jarring roads, finger numbing cold, shoulder pain, back aches and head shaking days. But also be prepared to get your mind blown by the extremely rugged and starkly beautiful scenery, the clear skies, the frosty air, the rustic villages and the joy in your heart as you sing out loud while whizzing your way through single track dirt paths on this magnificent land. My KTM 390 Adventure bike with stock tires and setup felt quite capable. It tackled both the on-road and off-road terrains beautifully. While it felt planted and stable on the tarmac, it was agile and playful on dirt tracks. I felt no loss of power even at high elevations at the China border. I was very comfortable throughout. The cast alloy wheels stood firm and none of the bikes suffered any damage to the wheels at all, even though we were riding pretty fast through very rocky terrain. The shocks, on the other hand, bottomed out on rough sections - clearly not enough travel here. The bash plate needs to be sturdier and a few of them even broke. The low end torque could be more punchier. Have seen videos online where people have switched to 14T sprockets and say that has solved much of their issues. Haven't done that myself, so don't know if it will help. Also, for me at 6' 1", the handle bars were too low and my back hurt while riding for long durations standing up. I couldn't find any risers in Kathmandu. All in all, it was a trip of a lifetime with many memories, meeting fellow riders, making friends and the superb support and organization of KTM Nepal team led by Bijay Moktan ji.
As we all know nepali youth are deeply in love of naked sport bike , specially KTM bikes . we do know that KTM is the leading manufacturing industry of high quality bikes . But now a days people are shifting their interest and are being attracted towards dirt bikes . In the context of Nepal their are few bike industry who provide good and affordable quality dirt bikes. Thus We nepali youth are eager to see KTM dirt bike being launched in Nepal. As well as there are fewer company who provide affordable and good quality dirt bike , thus i see that KTM bike company has great chance to establish their dirt bike market in Nepal . Thus i being a nepali youth would like to convey this message to top level KTM industry official to launch affordable dirt bike in Nepal so that KTM bike lovers can taste and the feel the power of Ktm dirt bikes in Nepal .
