Yeah to change the ego, on the main screen when you press start to enter the “Player Menu”, there’s an option on the top right to “Change Ego” From there you can change the ego for everything or you can use different ego for hitting, pitching, base running, and fielding to really customize it

Jason🤦🏽♂️. Willie Mays actually dropped a routine fly ball for me which had a 0.1% chance of happening. He gunned down the game winning run the very next play which sounds ridiculous but it happened😭.
46:54 not alot of people know this (im pretty sure the game doesnt tell you) but you can actually tunnel pitches in this game. Where the baseball is before throwing represents where it looks like its going to the batter, and the arrows are where it breaks from there. You threw alot of outside fastballs, so the batter thought it was another one and swung.
@@longballhq3128 I found out in SMB3 when I got a strike 3 swinging on a slider way inside. I tried throwing a slider way away after a fastball again, making sure to move the ball icon to where the fastball was before throwing, and the "fooled!" icon appeared and they swung. It doesn't work all the time, because the ai will get used to the pitch sequences, but helps a ton in getting outs. I find a lot of success mixing 2 seamers and 4 seamers to get consistent weak contact.
I just made a random custom league. Then when I made the franchise I imported the super mega players and the legends instead of the random players. I decided to do this rather than use the normal names because I did a shuffle draft and it didn't make sense to me to use the Sirloins, but it's none of the classic Sirloins players for example.
46:58 I do this quite a lot with any pitchers with a slider, and more often then not the AI swings at them if it's 2 strikes lol just don't abuse it and you should be fine edit: come to think of it my out-of-the-zone sliders are never low
It gets harder at the higher numbers. The pitches move faster, the hitters punish mistakes more, stuff like that. If you're losing more than winning, I'd suggest bumping it down a few and work your way back up
I have to lay the criticism into this game for a minute. the shadows are way too dark. The gameplay and options are inferior to a baseball game made in 2004(Mvp 2005) - pitching isn't able to dominate as much as it should, sliders don't do enough to customize gameplay into more simulation. If it was a $20 game all this would be forgiven but we're talking about a triple A priced baseball game that's no improvement over a 19 year old game. Remind you of anything? (MADDEN). It's a pattern with this publisher
Haven't played MVP 2005, but smb is my favorite baseball series for gameplay, personally pitching doesn't dominate enough - sure, there's more hits in the game than mlb, but I like that. More customization is usually a good thing, but I'm not getting what you're asking for. easier piching, harder hitting? or it is more complicated than that? I have issues with the game too, but mostly what I want is a more polished smb

at the bottom of the screen you see options button player menu in that you can change the Ego

I am new to SMB. How does Ego work? I set mine to 60 and it is pretty hard. I am only winning about 40% of my games.
