Love your videos and the cause you're working for is noble. But I'm too afraid to encourage you as I'm worried you may end up physically attacked by one some day.
Commenting on another video but I thought I'd share that while I was visiting SF I was at the Applebee's overlooking Fisherman's Wharf and I saw this lady down on the street digging through trash. She was getting food out of their containers and she would throw the food everywhere... Then the birds would flock all over and eat the food. Seemed to us like she was feeding them on purpose. It was sad that she was acting to wild and she looked very dirty but hey, at least she was feeding the birds... Hopefully the birds were able to eat what she was feeding them though.
This was another enjoyable video that I liked. I don't really know what to think about the folks featured in the video though. I kind of admired the old fellow who was searching through the bins for cans and such, and if I'm not mistaken, the singing fellow mentioned drinking in moderation- which sounds like kind of a good message. Still, I'm reminded of some of the homeless people I see here in Saint Petersburg, Florida. There's a kind of a sadness to their plight, and, yet I've certainly laughed a bit at their antics.
It makes me a bit sad to see a well dressed elderly man digging through the trash for cans and bottles. I also felt sad watching the man with the facial tattoos singing and dancing for money (of which I did not see him get any.) I get the feeling that he has reformed his life, and is a former alcoholic.
Ya know, Lee, I've spent today wistfully binge watching your channel. Trying to come to terms with what has happened to my city by the bay... and was disheartened by that exact juxtaposition... the well dressed man digging for cans & the man in black pants w/red stripe (i thought it was permanent marker on his face) trying his damndest at busking (rather than directly begging) w/absolutely no shame and being duly ignored... If you're on your own In this life The days and nights are long When you think you've had too much Of this life To hang on Well, hang on... That is what i am seeing, 2 men trying just to hang on.
Its sad that some of these homeless we walk by & their passed out laying lifeless on the ground , I've grown up in SF ,& I know better then to try to help them, They are human beings & it hurts to know that its best to mind your own business then to offer them help.
Is homelessness common in SF? My hairstylist is from there and told me she's been held at knife and gunpoint before, although I think she said this took place in the Tenderloin, which makes sense sadly. Seems like a pretty rough city, but I could just be basing it off your videos haha. Thanks for sharing the raw side of life!
Lee's Channel Wow, that's incredibly sad. We apparently have a bad problem with homeless people in my city but I think it's only around 1200 with a similar population as SF.
Tabitha Stanton No, LA is different. I can't think of any place that I've ever been to that is like San Francisco. SF is very compact, LA is huge and sprawling.
+OhRonE No, not right now, I don't really hang out looking for shoplifters, I just was passing by and I knew as soon as I saw that person that he was going to try to shoplift. I can get more videos of shoplifters though, I can tell right away if someone is planning on shoplifting.
OhRonE No, it is their body language... it would be easier to show than describe. If you can see that they are nervous when entering, looking all over, pretending to look at items, etc. those are dead giveaways, but there are subtler cues as well.
Hi, you have probably been asked this before, but have you ever been threatened by these people? How come they don't see you filming them? I am from the U.K and of course, we have a big homeless problem too, with many addicts and mentally ill, who I really feel so sorry for....Great videos, by the way, stay safe xx
I noticed similar issues at the Bloomingdale's in the Westfield Mall (at Market & 5th). Don't DARE go to use the restrooms there. It stinks (stuffy, stank and funky) like all get out. And GET OUT you WILL. One of the guys who worked there said addicts shoot up in those restrooms (and do other things as well), taking a long time before exiting the stalls. From the Powell Street station, one can go directly into the store without leaving the underground level. Just toxic and repulsive AF! Very trifling and greedy store owners. That is NOT a high end store...as they'd like to think. NOT by a long shot. 😂 Steer clear, people. If you need a restroom, go to the Hyatt hotel at the end of Market Street (Eastward), towards the ferry building.
Has anyone ever really sat down and studied human behavior? Does it seem like we act like characters in a video game? Like the sims or something like that. Or am I just going crazy?
Damn In the U.S you have these people around transport stations too. so sad. In London they are everywhere too gypsies, mentally ill and homeless people either begging for money or having a meltdown out in public the sad thing is these people are considered less by society and almost lose their rights to be human. just how cruel society is going these past generations.
Yeah, I know the situation with gypsies is pretty difficult because they are a nationless people, they're nomadic, there's no clear or easy solution, and no country wants to shoulder the financial aspects of it. It's a lot more complicated than the U.S., where our permanent homeless are either addicts/alcoholics, or mentally ill. There are simpler solutions, but the people and the government would prefer to ignore the issue.
Lee's Channel What is even more painful about gypsies is they start at such a young age I constantly see little babies at the Undergound begging for change but with these some of them are actually used as pawns by criminal gangs and that poor gypsy woman you seen on the street corner can make the amount of money in a day of what a doctor can make in a whole week. yet again there are some gypsies that are the real deal and are poor but who knows.
Lee's Channel here in portugal its so dificult with gypsies, i am a police officer, and the legislation with them is different from any other culture here, for example gypsy families can take kids out of school when they finish elementary school, 4th grade (with other kids you have to study till u finish high school), also gypsy girls can get married at 12 years old, this goes against all our laws but there is special legislation for gypsy people... also u find very young kids begging for money and we can't do anything about it...
Milko Cutty Actually for a couple of years now I have seen what looks like gypsy women bringing their children around with them as they beg for money. Here's a video where she asks a social worker for money Scam Artist Mother gets Scared by Social Worker on BART It's hard to hear what they are saying, but I made captions that you can enable for that video.
LOL it's so awesome how you link them from other videos. Brilliant :D
what a depressing city.
The Worlds tallest Midget I see this everyday when I go to school.
The Worlds tallest Midget it’s ten times worse now. Horrible
If you are walking down the street in San Francisco without looking down you will step in shit ! The streets are full of feces, urine and needles !
I love how you observe things, really unique than what other people usually see :)
Love your videos and the cause you're working for is noble. But I'm too afraid to encourage you as I'm worried you may end up physically attacked by one some day.
i feel sorry for the elderly Chinese people in these videos but not the drunken bums
I know, me too.
This channel is full of crazy, and I thought southern California was bad!

+Meow Meow She may have been just trying to get recyclables. I'm sure the birds will be fine though, that's probably the bulk of what they eat there.
Wow I'd be so terrified to be there.

Yeah, there's about 10,000 homeless people here in SF, and SF is a small city.
Lee's Channel Wow, that's incredibly sad. We apparently have a bad problem with homeless people in my city but I think it's only around 1200 with a similar population as SF.
Tabitha Stanton There's a huge drug problem in San Francisco, 60% of the meth in the US comes through SF.
Would you say LA is similar? I've been to SoCal (OC) but not LA and I'd like to visit sometime.
Tabitha Stanton No, LA is different. I can't think of any place that I've ever been to that is like San Francisco. SF is very compact, LA is huge and sprawling.
Do you have more of the shoplifting videos
+OhRonE No, not right now, I don't really hang out looking for shoplifters, I just was passing by and I knew as soon as I saw that person that he was going to try to shoplift. I can get more videos of shoplifters though, I can tell right away if someone is planning on shoplifting.
+Lee's Channel cool. If someone walks into a store walking fast is that a sign of potential shoplifting.
OhRonE No, it is their body language... it would be easier to show than describe. If you can see that they are nervous when entering, looking all over, pretending to look at items, etc. those are dead giveaways, but there are subtler cues as well.

How does he do this without causing offence to passers-by? Is the camera hidden?
Just a cellphone, pretty innocuous.
a swarm of crazies all in one small area....I thought that was something you only see on TV shows and in movies!
This looks like a really good game, its like every NPC has its own personality, its Luke what watchdogs tried to be
I think the NPCs are glitching out.
Lee's the best! No doubt! Absolutely unreal💙
Just a little reminder: the 3 richest men in the world also live in that same city

I'm so glad I'm not out in that rat race anymore I'm retired thank you God.
I calculated my life expectancy, and it's 64.5 :(
what do you see on the HOMER ?
A satellite dish and some loose foliage. I saw a squirrel too.
This is America!
Has anyone ever really sat down and studied human behavior? Does it seem like we act like characters in a video game? Like the sims or something like that. Or am I just going crazy?
Well, the people usually model the people to act like humans, so... It comes natural that we'd act like them. They're modeled after us.
Is this GTA 6? Looks awesome!
This is san francisco
wow seems like a very sad place to live and go through everyday where im from is bad too with homelessness and drug abuse
Where are you from?
Lee's Channel dublin, ireland
Wow. What a mess.
It sure is. This is the first thing tourists see when they come to San Francisco too.
Same in LA.
But I mean literally, they land at SFO, get on the BART, come out and see this. This is what represents SF.
Lee's Channel at least they are getting a dose of reality early on
Damn In the U.S you have these people around transport stations too. so sad. Valete85 Yeah, it seems like a very difficult situation.
Lol'd at 1:09 xD
best,video make more
You should film the hot girls of SF at least once. A little T&A will get you more views and subs.
I don't think the world is ready for the T&A of SF.
Lee's Channel Have you ever gotten confronted by one of the shoplifters? or an aggressive bum?
John Nava No, but I did get caught by a dealer.
Lee's Channel Lol. You're crazy bro. Thanks for putting your self in danger by recording crazy shit. Much appreciated!
1:10 hahaha
Who tries to take shit from homeless people? Oh.
ya see ya see ya see-ee *spin*
Sf looks so depressing
