I love your fan, it’s so pretty! I’m not a summer person either, I definitely stay indoors as much as possible. I’m excited for your video on final girls! My reading journal is so utilitarian and I don’t decorate it at all and that’s how I don’t shy away from using it, because there’s no pressure to make it pretty lol. It’s funny how the opposite works for other people, as a creative outlet and that encourages them.
@karlalikestoread I'm thinking that I will only decorate my reading journal if I feel inspired to do so. I think if I don't force myself to decorate every single book entry, then I can be consistent with my journaling.
Books always make everything better 😂 Loved your haul!! I am especially intrigued about this final girl project you’re working on…. 👀 That Redux book sounds fascinating. “Relaxed” - I like the sound of that!
I'm right there with you on this summer nonsense. I used to love summer, but have grown to h-a-t-e it over the past few years. I should have brought a fancy fan to our family gathering over the weekend. I was the silly auntie fanning my sweaty face with a paper plate. 😅☠️ Love the haul. Stay cool, sweet friend! 💜💜💜
Summer in the south is miserable! 🥵 My Heart Is a Chainsaw ❤❤❤❤ No reading journal for me. I write my stuff on looseleaf and stick it in a binder. 😆 Good luck with your journaling, Jen. My coping skills generally entail not going outside unless absolutely necessary. And, if I have errands to run, go early. Loved this video! BTW...Barry and I will be in your neck of the woods at the end of July. 🥰
@@katsnoveladventures1863 it is miserable. I'm doing my best to avoid leaving the house🙃😂 I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping my journal simple. I just don't have the capacity for fancy journaling these days. I hope you & Barry enjoy your visit to my neck of the woods💖
I have tried and failed book journaling a few times. I was overly confident and bought a bullet journal and hated everything I did so I ripped out a bunch of pages. Then I bought a preprinted book journal and used it for about a month or two. It didn't give me the room I wanted to write my thoughts and it had spaces for questions or prompts that I didn't care about. I want to find a way to be consistent because I suffer from forgetting *everything* about a book not long after I read it. If I journal about it, I have a better chance of remembering the plot.
@@literarylove123 yeah, I'm thinking of just buying a plain old composition book and writing my thoughts, quotes, etc. I am all for tabbing a book but I can't bring myself to highlight or write in a book 😂
@@NoJacki_OnlyZuul I will highlight and write in most of my books, but there are a few exceptions - for example, I don't like to write in/highlight hardcovers, and then sometimes it's just a random feeling that I don't want to write in certain paperbacks.
The Terror is great, both the book and the miniseries.
I hope your summer gets less hazardous, or at least goes quickly! 🍁🍂
Thank you! I'm looking forward to reading The Terror. I definitely want to watch the series, too. Here's to winter❄️

Hey, in this heat, we have to use whatever we have handy to try to stay cool. Here's to hoping for cooler days!

I have tried many journals, but now i just write the name down on a list!
@RovingRedhead That's what I find myself doing, too. I'm hoping the journal pages will help me be more creative.

I feel your frustration. I'm hoping the simple journal set-up will help me be consistent.

see? going out of the house is darn right dangerous!
