  • Since this song is stuck in everyone’s head anyway…I thought this would be a good way to use it! This is perfect for younger grades. I plan on using it with K-2

    Not a music teacher here, what does the black mark/note mean?

      Gabe is right - it is a rest - silence for 1 count. I have my youngest students say "Shh" on that beat. Eventually we take the "shh" sound away so that it's just a beat of silence.

    What do the two hands side by side mean, they show up right when Isabella starts singing?

    • @alexisscangas5073
      @alexisscangas5073 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's sliding your hands over one another, so creating a sound of them shifting against each other.

      I do the same as Mark who also responded. I just tap my chest. Funny story - several of my students put their other hand in the air because the icon of the child has it's hand raised also!! I didn't expect this!

    Great video! How do you find teaching young kids to snap their fingers? It even took me a long time to be able to do this.

    • @musicwithmrs.kincaid2151
      @musicwithmrs.kincaid2151  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a few who can snap, and quite a few who cannot, so I honestly tell them to pretend. I once dislocated my middle finger on my right hand so I cannot snap with that hand...I demonstrate how I pretend as well. I just wanted a slightly softer sound there.

    • @rachelgee7894
      @rachelgee7894 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure you clarify that the sound is coming from their finger hitting their hand, not from the fingers coming in contact with each other. My 4 year old is able to snap with that explanation.
