Muriwai

Access the north end of Muriwai Beach from the little known track. The is one of our favorite places in Auckland. Make sure you drive on the beach responsibly; its a road, stay on the left. The spread limit is 30km/h around the access roads and 60km/h everywhere else. Be careful of obstacles in the sand like the odd rock or buried vehicles.
27th April 2024: On this trip we are driving a 2022 Toyota Fortuner. It is basically stock with a bull bar, winch, front recovery points, rock sliders and a snorkel. The tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3 and slightly larger then the regular 31s that come from the factory; 265/70/R17.
