As weird as it is that the star gave Mario Fire powers, I do love how powerful they made Fire Mario in this show, in the games he only shot fire, but in the show it also enhances his physical strength and natural abilities, I always thought it was cool

It would be cool if Mario grabs a power up and plays the theme and start beating the shit out of king koopa and his gang like how Popeye beats up bluto in every cartoon where Mario says here's some pasta power before punching king koopa and his gang
The Super Show seem a lot like Popeye with Starmans and Fire Flowers acting as their spinach or pasta power as you mention, even some of the plots were like Popeye being based on recent films or fairytales/legends mixed with Popeye characters tho in Super Show's case with Mario characters and items.

So I looked into the show and heres what happens Mario and Luigi: Despite the ex distance of fire flowers existing in their world, they become fire Mario and Luigi when the touch a star man to. Peach: She is the only one that actually gets invincibility (maybe its because of her star powers? Does she really even have star powers?) Toad: he gets a motorcycle... Like...if I went to the store and bought one it would be the same as toad getting a starman, that's actually stupid, toad sucked in this show...
