Have you consider your neighbour's sewage system closer to you earthen pounds. Looking at your surroundings it obviously to have leaks around your ponds. Have ever Bravo 👏

This information is very strange. In theory ponds are built not dug. Clay soil hold moisture and a therefore best for ponds. SandY soil darin easily and are not suitable but in his case his pond has been dug to reach the water table but still require fine sand bags to prevent water from leaking out from sides. His pond will require a pump to empty. Built pond drain natural using a drain pipe. One disadvantage of clay soil is murky water that is green in color not clear. Moral of the story many ways to skin a cat.

The sack was filled with the sand I dogged out from the pond.
The water can't be different even after pumping it out, it's the water from the upper part of the soil, u can only get a clean water if it's sooo deep n upper part casted like it's done in well. But this is not allowed in fish farming, so that water is very fine and okay

May I know why u using sand bags in wall surface?
It is not my question,but i have the idea. It is to support and prevent the edges/walls/ boarders of the pond from collapsing as the water will gradually be eroding it from time to time.
Do you change your water while using the earthen pond
Depends on the food u feed them advisable to change every two weeks or three

35 by 20 and it’s 5ft deep…

I don’t stay on the farm but we have people in the area protesting the whole place.
But from looks , that is an allocated plot of secured land . So it must have been secured
