Thanks for all this content. They are extremely useful (including the explanations) for new IR rated GA pilots that are just starting out and want to see what it’s like to fly GA aircraft under IFR both in the UK and the rest of Europe. Keep them coming,

Hey Nigel, how do find the climb in your Lance up to FL90/FL100?
Am I right in thinking she's normally aspirated? I'm guessing it's a 20 minute affair?

Toby Bennett Hi. 20 minutes to FL100 is not a bad estimate if hot and heavy. Probably more like 15 minutes under more Northern European conditions. As you say, she is an injected non-turbo so around FL120 is your lot at MTOW.

Hi sorry bit late to the party but love your content. In addition to a leisurely climb when heavy, how do you get on for CHTs during those climbs to FL110 in Mediterranean temperatures? Our Comanche needs a pretty low nose attitude at around 120kt to keep CHTs under 400F. In a southern French summer where we fly routinely life as you know gets pretty warm in the summer. Good stuff, keep it up!
