Let’s be sure to give credit where credit is due. This phenomenal trombonist is Harry Watters. He’s an amazing player who deserves wider recognition. His numerous Summit Records releases include “Love Songs” and three critically acclaimed Brothers discs with trumpeter Ken Watters. After graduating from the University of North Texas, Harry spent four years touring and recording with the renowned Dukes of Dixieland. He then performed for over two decades with the U.S. Army Blues, part of the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” which is the premier jazz ensemble of the US Army.
Great performance by Harry Watters! He was guest clinician with my college jazz ensemble; I was fortunate to play with him and receive his mentoring. Great stage presence, love to hear him on record, and he stays busy on his channel! Thank you for transcribing!

Thanks for that. I missed off the credit in the box, but have added it now.
I love how utterly clear his ideas are
0:52 is such a great lick

Thanks! There's another one, from what looks like the same performance, in my to-do list!
@@RobEgertonJazzTranscriptions Wonderful! Transcribing from seasoned jazz improvisors’ solos is my greatest teacher.
Que bonito es poder disfrutar las improvisaciones del maestro Harry 🙏📯🙏📯🙌🙌
Was waiting for this one, Rob! Well done sir. For me this is “When you practice for 50 years and can’t even cut the first chorus” 😂
Happy to oblige!
Played with Harry Watters. Great guy
Chet Baker of trombone. Great solo
This trombone solo is too good, those trolls are super clean. And everything else of course
Yeah man!....yeah, Harry!...yeah, trombone! haha. nice one.
Yeah! Thanks, Wes. Hope you're well?
Why do you use a different clef instead of 8va? No shade, just wondering.
Good question. The answer is: no reason, really!
Finally some really decent content.
Thanks?!
