  • *Disclaimer*: This video is based on my experiences at the Naval Academy Preparatory School (NAPS). I met great people who thrive to be their utter best self. I was privileged to be apart of the NAPS community and I can proudly state that the people I met at NAPS were always there for me. Being admitted into NAPS and accepting the offer was the best decision I’ve made thus far, and has prepared me and others for a future of academic success and leadership. In this video I will explain what the Naval Academy preparatory school (NAPS) is. It is a school where prospective Naval Academy candidates and Coast Guard candidates come together to be indoctrinated into the military lifestyle or the prior military peoples who need to be re-accustomed to the academic lifestyle. It’s a 10-month program where you’ll be learning physics chemistry and mathematics while doing Physical training (PT) as PT is very essential to get into the Naval Academy or the Coast Guard Academy. The academy begins with a three week indoctrination period also knows as Bootcamp, I will go into further detail about my experiences in the video as well as my experiences of daily life . If you have any questions shoot me a DM on Instagram @michael_boukhaled.

    As a college reapplicant I’d like to know what goes into consideration when selecting NAPS candidates. I didn’t pass my CFA both attempts last cycle which definitely negatively impacted my chances leading to overall rejection across the board however, I feel as though this is a necessary step for success at USNA.

    what was the pay like ? and is it easier as u go through the year ?

    • @michaelboukhaled833
      @michaelboukhaled833  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pay around 520$ a month or so, matters per month but always around that. Easier, depends if you get used to the system and how the leadership is. Leadership changes every now and then, each has their different types of leadership.

    Hi, I just want to ask a simple question.
    Let's say that I came up short on USNA Admissions and didn't get accepted, under the condition that I will go to NAPS(Naval Academy Preparatory School) if I weren't able to get a past in the first phase.
    Am I guaranteed to go to NAPS? Or Are there other examination steps that need to begone through? If so what is the likelihood(percentage) of getting accepted?

    Is it difficult to get in to naps/what should I do to prepare

    • @michaelboukhaled833
      @michaelboukhaled833  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Get prepared for the Naval Academy, and aim for the academy. if there is a candidate that the Naval Academy wants but believes they need a little more preparation they might be considered for a NAPS appointment. it is more about the Academy wants the student, but wants to make sure the student is successful when they arrive to Annapolis. Any questions, let me know.

    I did NOT do well in highschool but I want to go to the naval academy. I'm still only 18. My plan is to go to a community college for 2 years to boost my GPA and give me more community service and extracurricular opportunities to make me a better candidate. Do you have any thoughts or advice for me and my situation? Please let me know any help is greatly appreciated. I'm going to go to that school (I'm not taking no for an answer) I just need lots of help.

      Commitment to success is a start which I believe you have, doing community hours I believe can help, keep contacting your BG officer for help. I think if you have an okay SAT and GPA you should be competitive for NAPS. Keep applying till you get in and look at NROTC options if your main goal is commissioning as an officer, good luck!
