    My dog and I live on E. 88th St. and we’re so glad to be in walking distance of Randall’s Island. We take walks along the river, cross the footbridge, then my dog goes for a swim then runs around in the woods. I’m so glad he can experience nature even though he’s a city dog.

      Ditto. My frenchie and I frequently walk from E. 88th Street (between 1st and York) over the 103rd Street bridge via Gracie Mansion and Carl Shurz park. Sometimes the geese chase us away from their young while on Randall's. Cheers.

    Another awesome video. Its crazy how places change within as little as a decade and a half. Roosevelt Island is pretty popular now. I remember when I went to high school and I told people I went to middle school on Roosevelt Island, they had no clue where it was. That was almost 20 years ago. Grandpa from "The Munsters" lived there. It was a small community where you knew almost everyone and now its overcrowded and expensive.

    That Randall’s island bridge lifts up around 5 pm and no way to cross over that bridge you”ll stuck and have to walk to 125 st very far to get back over to the other side of the FDR.

      The city departments will only give you a photostatic copy. My husband needed his long form about 20 years ago to be able to teach in NJ. I went thru hell to get it. I finally contacted the right person in Albany. She was acting like she was asking for my first born child telling me I'd have to pay a whold $25. It was ridiculous but I got it. I don't know if they've made it easier but don't use the 800 number because they'll just direct you to where you can get the photostat. Find the local number in Albany for the Bureau of Vital Statistics for the State of NY if you need the long form and talk to a real person and yes, there will be more info on it.

    • @allnyc3412
      @allnyc3412  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The graves were located at the very southern tip where we now have the soccer fields. It’s unclear if the remains were moved to Hart Island (see upcoming video) or if they are still there. The city is known to pave over old burial grounds.
