Local to me is the Oldest Store in America! The Tavern! Inside they have rich history and loads of allocated bourbon. They even have some goodies in "The Cellar". Big shout out to Chris for being my history buff and giving me the lowdown on this awesome spot! The Vom Fass Store was also a unique and geninue experience! They can be found here.

😂 The store owner is so principled. fantastic that he sticks to what’s right and moral in not dealing with BT’s terrible antics.. as he charges 140 for smoke wagon, 390 for Michters BS rye, 225 for a 4R pick.. what a guy?! There’s a reason that willett is collecting dust there and they’ll have it for years to come

Cool store for sure! They have 8 boxes of Willet purple top in the basement and he said they wouldn’t put another out for another year or two after that one sells…That dude made me wonder how many liquor stores throttle back their allocated inventory.
Yeah they didnt know but I re-printed their key so I can get in there after hours

Just kidding store owner. Hopefully the Chamber of Commerce has you guys listed as a destination to come visit. That store is real South Carolina and American history.
A lot in Kentucky do that. There’s a big one in northern Kentucky that has a points system for allocated stuff, and at the end of 2022 I was able to redeem my points for an ORVW, but the laser code on it was for 2021, so even though they got the 2022 bottles they were still sitting on 2021 stuff.
That Place was Bad Ass! I Love Old Buildings like that and the History hidden inside it! So Cool to go visit and be a part of it! Great Job Hunter

I was just taken aback about that tavern. I love the history of it. When you went down the cellar I was like "Oh that place is haunted" so after I watched I looked it up and yep it is...

This may be your best video adventure yet. Not one, but two fantastic places, all in one video. Loved the history, story, and taking a trip into the cellar. There must be some risk of breakage of a leg, or even a box of spirits with those stairs. That place with the German name might be the most unique spirit place anyone has ever seen.
Did the touristy thing last time I was in Germany. We ate at a bratwurst restaurant that has been serving bratwurst since the 1300s continuously. I know it wasn’t bourbon, but still cool, non the less.

The owner showed me the basement a few years ago..... very cool building! We were there installing security cameras because he wanted to find out what kept pushing bottles off the shelves onto the floor in the middle of the night... ghosts? The building does has a haunted past! Thanks for enlightening me on vom Fass... had no idea they sold spirits. Keep up the great work!

BT isn’t doing anything unreasonable. They are owned by Sazerac and they have very sought after products. They have several great whiskeys and supply is limited until the expansion is complete. Then you have to wait for all those new barrels to age 7 years or so. In five years it wont be as limited. But the demand will probably be a lot higher as well.
Thats interesting about the Red Dots. When I first moved to SC I thought it was the weirdest thing, now after 5 years its like part of the culture for me.

I own a liquor store.....very nice to hear them call out Buffalo Trace. I will say it's driven by the distributors more than anything versus the distillery but they do have influence and it it doesn't seem like they care about how thier stuff is distributed in a fair manner.

Crazy that he opts out of Sazerac products but still stocks Fireball 100mls. At that point, might as well do the bare minimum product spread to get in on the the Buffalo Trace allocations they can charge secondary prices for alongside the rest of the tourist trap bottles.
It was interesting because they do stock some stuff but hey they’ve been in business for so long Im not gonna judge!

You have to have tens of thousands of dollars in other product such as Paul Cognac, Fireball, Wheatley vodka, and other Saz products to even have allocated access of buffalo trace
I paid 125 each for the Shenk’s and Bomberger’s and 50 for the Three Chord’s.

Yep! By far the worst prices I have ever seen. It will be another century before they sell all of the Willett Purple Tops, maybe longer. They charge secondary prices for bottles that don't have secondary markets lol
