I think the Nova LUT looks quite good in some scenes but I just hate how desaturated some of the blue, red, yellow and greens are. It's almost like the 'gray like' filter comes through too much
It doesn't look good in a lot of scenes, too much green and blue and brightness. But things like that is just subjective, people like different things at the end of the day 🤷♂
I don't get they hype around this lut. It's mostly desaturation tricking your mind into thinking it's realistic when it's actually extremely unrealistic
@@orbit1894 I agree, I prefer the natural lighting in the game. I have an OLED HDR monitor and I can't imagine the NOVA LUT looking particularly amazing since it desaturates all the vibrant colours (this is a cyberpunk game btw.... those colours shouldn't be tuned down significantly). th-cam.com/video/qpFH5wJv3Sg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IqjpgaUNSkJWvUoz - This video shows how beautiful the game is with no LUTs installed + path tracing
Nova lut's cooler colors help highlight reflections and ambient occlusion making objects look more detailed and defined. The cooler colors also help it maintain a more grounded feel on the contrary the vanilla colors are more natural, you'd expect a slight yellowish tint, it's also generally darker so objects are not as defined and ambient occluded shadows mix with shadows, and reflective surfaces look less defined making the reflections look worse. I mean as far as natural colors go, vanilla takes the cake but if you want change, or something more fancy or just different? I think lut is good for that, it's like a vacation you know. It's not better nor worse, just a different flavor.
So I play this game both on a 27' 400nit monitor (I use SDR with Windows 11 auto HDR On/Off), and on an old 55' Sony Bravia 800nit TV with in game HDR feature. I like more colorful on the TV (NCLM Lut) while less for the monitor (so Nova Lut). It's of course subjective but this is my personal pereference. And then I found this guy on Nexus called Amon reshade, it's just a ini file that you can use when install Reshade. It has 5 fx providing some "photorealistic' things but I only use 'colorfulness fx' after play around a little. This lets me to adjust color saturation on the fly, with no noticable FPS loss what so ever. So my final choice is NCLM lut + colorfulness.fx, so far I can say I'm satisfied with this simple solution.
How can anyone actually enjoy looking at an art piece that the original is with this massacre of colors amd style. Last time i checked this was a game and not a real life simulation. It's like going crazy for a realistic colored version of an anime like WTF ikr? Wtf
There are a few that are good such as Natural Vision Evolved for GTA V, but I mostly agree. The only graphics mod you need for Cyberpunk is the HD Reworked one that improves the texture resolution. That's it. The vanilla game with pathtracing looks pefect as is. It can't really be improved with mods.
@@friedrichnietzsche7736 ok, I must admit that yesterday I discovered the Cybelighting mod and the Ove3rchrome mod which tries to bring back the color grading from the E3 2018 gameplay, which I actually like better because it looks more like Cyberpunk 80/90 and unique imo than the very heavy yellow colors they used in the final version.
well . i played half a playthrough with this . until i reached pacifica and realized i prefer vanilla way more . pacifca especially loses its vibe when you mess with the lut
OH, my ... This does look gorgeous, especially compared to the original image here at 0:22. This is what I'm talking about. No need for any rt nonsense that reduces the performance by over 60%, but such mods are what is really needed. This is great, truly 0:22 I'm amazed by the fact how gorgeous it looks and what the difference in performance is (zero).
@neexxxt5063 what got you so offended, kiddo? I've got 4080 (why would I watch this video otherwise?), and yes I know that rt is on in this video, but that's not what brings the quality, it's the Nova LUT.
Meh it looks kinda bland in some scenes... I think I'll pass on this... I'm running a Ryzen 7 7800x3D processor, RTX 4090 24Gig GPU and 32Gig DDR5 6,000Mhz RAM. It looks great enough as it is.

I think it looks more bluish and white than normal, it has a warmer tone, is like all time in london but nightcity is desert no make sense...
No Discription wich NovaLUT is using. NovaLUT Vibrance + NCLM looks great and it´s not grayish

novalut makes the game look whiter and colder. i prefer the warm colors of the original.
True when I got in the car with Dexter I was like "who this white boy and why he so cold"
I prefer the game with pathtracing, which has its own style and looks stunning.
You can do both lmfao.

It would Be awesome if you made a video comparing all versions of the nova luts!

I think I'd prefer something right in the middle between both. Default is a bit to warm and LUT is too cold / colorless.
Cyberpunk devs: Yeah, left looks definitely better. Let's ship that.
What is the name name of the song used from 0:00 to 2:00?

More natural color grading.
Нет, всё просто бледное

Hello I wonder which version of nova lut was used in your video ?
Pure.
I don't know... looks good on picture, but the game itself... atmosphere is cut in half with LUT.
This is how the game should have been released in the first place. The fog of vanilla game is insane you ca not see into the distance very far.
Luva Lut OFF seems better to my eyes.
Luva Lut seems like applying a slight grey filter over the original.
How can anyone actually enjoy looking at an art piece that the original is with this massacre of colors amd style. Last time i checked this was a game and not a real life simulation. It's like going crazy for a realistic colored version of an anime like WTF ikr? Wtf
so just more contrast and cooler colors.
Meet Hanako at Embers.
is this Nova LUT 2 or Nova LUT 2 - Classic ?
Name of the sound used pls
P.T. Adamczyk - Never Looking Back (Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty OST).
I love that they removed the ugly teal fog in the day! Might reinstall cyberpunk and try it out.
damn that's awesome
You really see the Californian desert as grey?
I swear most lighting mods, whether it's CP2077, GTA, Skyrim or Fallout, are just "let's make the game as artistically boring as possible"

I prefere without nova lut.
its work if RT OFF?
Yes.
Idk Nova LUT looks way too cold for me

WDYM? RT in this game is awesome and it's worth having that setting on if your PC can handle it.

Nah, too cold.
Vanilla looks better. The mod simply makes the color palette flat and boring.
Don't want to diss creator but it looks like someone cranked blues and set colder temperature from 6600 to 9900.
off looks better
Optimized Path Tracing не советую. машина становится без стекол !

not better. just overbright and desaturated colors

Dull lighting mod

original look better
rt in this game is trash, tbh. No offence, but the mode is much better (even though rt in this vid is on, it doesn't change anything)
