“Throwback Louisville” takes a look at Wallace Kelly, a native of Lebanon, Ky., whose prolific work as a photographer, artist and novelist made him a true Renaissance Man. In 2007, Kelly’s black-and-white silent home movie, Our Day, which he filmed in 1938, was awarded the rare distinction of being added to the prestigious Library of Congress National Film Registry. Only films deemed especially “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant” are earmarked for such preservation by the Library of Congress.
