That water you crossed and down around that area, but especially, the water, is always my favorite parts of your farm .I never got to see it in IRL, but I still remember you going through there, mowing and reclaiming pasture land
Glad you guys were able to find a nice chisel plow - I knew you guys were looking but I figured after last fall getting a chance to run 2 at a time you would be too spoiled to want to go back to just the case lol. Cattle are looking good as well! Hope you're enjoying the last few weeks of "time off" before spring really kicks off lol
Just wanted to wish anyone reading this The very best In Trillion folds. Love. I'm a young farm lady from Nigeria. I uploaded some agricultural videos of late. Sending you all love and light
At least you didn’t have to walk back and forth in the snow. I made a few ~800 yard each direction trips in SW Wi this winter in the deep snow for ice fishing.
Ryan you should have used Rocket as a sled dog and helped pull you through the tough spots!!😂😂 spring is getting closer!! Can’t wait for some field work! Have a good one!
I went out on Saturday with my 4 wheeler checking fences. Our farm in near Mineral Point got stuck several times myself. Used almost a full tank of gas. LOL
Looks like a nice piece of equipment and look forward to seeing in a video. I can imagine rocket just past out for awhile after that run lol. Have a good one
We're International and Case IH, but we do have a 714 chisel plow. It's a good machine. They can break like the Case if you're not careful. Be sure to slow down your hydraulics on your tractor so not to tear the lifting arms off the plow. When you're lifting it out of the ground.
Have you guys ever considered a disc ripper we farm in south eastern Wisconsin and went from a DMI chisel plow to a 530b disc ripper and we aren’t looking back love it!!! No more chopping stalks to incorporate residue
man Ryan you will love the 714 chisel plow i used the same model on a jd 8650 articulated 4wd also put it on a 8870 jd they kept that one and got the same model but in the three section folding one put it behind thier jd 9400 4wd articulated with triples on it oh they had a brillion one with the 714 before they got the 3 section folding model from jd and it makes world of difference using two of them the 714 is the older one but still works like new and at one time had anhydrous hookup and hoses on it with hitch to pull tank behind it but took hoses and kit off for reason long story sad one good ending
I seem to say the same thing after every one of your videos, they are all excellent videos with dynamite pics and great audio void of background noise (some call music!)....Thanks much.
nice video Ryan. Curious if you run the chills plow through the gate several times to break up the soil where it was frozen and dig up about 6 " of that smile and put gravel in there to stop it icing up on you.
Here in Texas I bought a section that has some areas with just over 1% slope. We are strip tilling the grass to take it out of the CRP program and runoff from the sprinkler system. That 4 wheeler must be sick or Wisconsin must have hills!
Nice video ! Hope the JD CP works out for you ! Got some time to go over it . As for " not pushing " ; basement farmers and semi-urbanites always know what's best ! I'm sure your cows like that fodder ! Keeps them warm two ways !! Have your watering problems resurfaced ?
I am surprised you haven’t tried strip tilling or no till. I am north of you in Wisconsin and we are doing no till up here. UW has shown better results with no till than conventional tillage.
Even with all the snow you had and cold weather I would still take that over the ice storm that destroyed my area . It is going to take months and lots of money to clean and fix all the damage
At least it wasn't a shed wall that you "adjusted" like my dad did a few years ago with our loader. Just stay safe iron and wood can be replaced limbs and your neck are a lot harder.
New 4-Wheeler tires ! It's TIME Ryan .
That water you crossed and down around that area, but especially, the water, is always my favorite parts of your farm .I never got to see it in IRL, but I still remember you going through there, mowing and reclaiming pasture land
I'm exhausted just watching that dog run!!! He still "pedals" pretty good, even in the deep stuff!! 🤣🤣👍👍
Ryan & Rocket getting their exercise in for the winter !
Rocket is one amazing and smart dog!! Knows how to be safe, too!!
Congratulations on the new chisel plow -a great addition to the operation. Thank you for the video.
I think you're going to like that John Deere 714 looks like rocket needed to help you push a little thanks for sharing
Rocket didn't seem to struggle! I love watching him run
Honda will never die

good to see you

Have a great spring with good planting weather. At least you could use the jcb to rescue if needed. Mud then grass soon.
At least you didn’t have to walk back and forth in the snow. I made a few ~800 yard each direction trips in SW Wi this winter in the deep snow for ice fishing.
Hopefully you and your family have a great spring planting this year
Yes Rocket! 4-feet drive always for the win in bad conditions! Only have to change the pace-pattern to hit the diff!
Soon as you buy a snowmobile you won’t get snow for three years. Good work getting unstuck.
That is very tre
How much of an issue do you have with dermatitis?
Rocket sure did get a good run in. Feel sorry for that fence. I remember the video of you building it.
you just can't beat 4-paw drive.
Ryan you should have used Rocket as a sled dog and helped pull you through the tough spots!!😂😂 spring is getting closer!! Can’t wait for some field work! Have a good one!
Tanks for another one always learning something new can’t wait for the next
Great video Ryan nice looking chisel plow
I have a Honda foreman rubicon for my Woods. Boy am I glad that I purchased it with a winch!
Pretty blue GMC2500!😍
That looked great fun Ryan. Sending a fuss over the pond to you for Rocket. 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Like the new John Deere 714 .
4 wheeler just need some tracks and best of both worlds lol
Ha gate expansion. Well if it got in the way sure that it will again. New equipment looks nice.
Got a kick out of rocket running in the tire tracks
I have the same chisel plow, they do a nice job.
If you chop before you chisel plow the stock tend to still build up something
I went out on Saturday with my 4 wheeler checking fences. Our farm in near Mineral Point got stuck several times myself. Used almost a full tank of gas. LOL
Itp mud lites work really well in the snow. I turn my back tires around backwards like paddles and they go real well in snow or sand
Looks like a nice piece of equipment and look forward to seeing in a video. I can imagine rocket just past out for awhile after that run lol. Have a good one
Great awesome video Ryan , nice chisel plow upgrade
6:00 wider Gateway is a good idea.
Good stuff can't wait for planting.
Nice chisel plow, I was at the sale, he took very good care of his equipment.
Great Vlog, the new JD chisel looks like a great deal, thanks for sharing
Oh man I've been waiting for this, I'm happy for you.
Great video, Ryan

Good thing that you didn't get stuck and have to call Travis. That would have been years worth of 'remember when'... Good vid! Rocket's still got it!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Time for some new rubber...BIG DIGGERS!!!
Great decision to buy a new chisel plow👍😉 this machine will help you a lot😁👍
You work like my brother second we fix a fence he customize it
I like 'How Farms Work' hats ..
Hey Ryan!! Way to go buddy!! That's something Travis would do lol!!
Great video Ryan!!
Evening Ryan and Rocket,Very Nice plough, well wear Dwight:):)
We had 3 of them. Biggest piles of garbage. Have fun fixing it every day 👍🏻
We pull a 11 shank chisel plow will a 180 horsepower tractor up hill and it pulled it just fine
A lot of snow this year even south. Dang.
Thanks for the cool video!
Hey there Ryan! Looks like some chains might help too.
Has your dad figured out anymore floor idea for the spreader? He asked me as we did ours recently and I suggested a sheet of frp board
I seem to say the same thing after every one of your videos, they are all excellent videos with dynamite pics and great audio void of background noise (some call music!)....Thanks much.
Looks like me doing the same thing out icefishing many of times. Soft snow and ATVs don’t go together.
When I put corn stalk bedding for the milk cows but they rather eat the corn stalks bedding and they had no bedding to lay on
What are the advantages over a mouldboard plow and how does a chisel plow work in rocky ground?
Rock to Ryan come on buddy.
Hey welcome back it’s Ryan
11:09 Go Rocket!
@How Farms Work what tractor did the previous owner run on it.
nice video Ryan. Curious if you run the chills plow through the gate several times to break up the soil where it was frozen and dig up about 6 " of that smile and put gravel in there to stop it icing up on you.
Hi from Finland.Nice videos 👍
That looks like at the time a very good decision Intel the decision decided to get implemented.
Thanks for the great video, I believe it’s time to invest in some new tread for the 4-wheeler 👍
Had a JD 714 9 shank pulled with JD 4440
Fun in the snow....
Kids got to play
My dog got excited when he herd the four wheeler start
need to put on mud slingers for winter lol they have big grips for deep snow
if you put them on you can run the high tread year around on any ground
Very nice video keep up the good work
Here in Texas I bought a section that has some areas with just over 1% slope. We are strip tilling the grass to take it out of the CRP program and runoff from the sprinkler system. That 4 wheeler must be sick or Wisconsin must have hills!
I hope you like JD chisel plow
Nice video ! Hope the JD CP works out for you ! Got some time to go over it . As for " not pushing " ; basement farmers and semi-urbanites always know what's best ! I'm sure your cows like that fodder ! Keeps them warm two ways !! Have your watering problems resurfaced ?
Time for a set of four wheeler tires more aggressive
You should pour a concrete slab for the feed yard.
So you don't get stuck
concrete is pretty expensive....
Looks like it's time for some new four-wheeler tires are some pretty good deals on eBay and Amazon enjoy your can't wait for spring 😁😀😀
lots of deep snow for rocket, I would have given him a ride half way
I am surprised you haven’t tried strip tilling or no till. I am north of you in Wisconsin and we are doing no till up here. UW has shown better results with no till than conventional tillage.
Nice vid as always.cutting hay soon
Even with all the snow you had and cold weather I would still take that over the ice storm that destroyed my area . It is going to take months and lots of money to clean and fix all the damage
This is why it's hard to have nice things. At least the cattle didn't break your new corraling, that's all on you lol
I hope the frame on this one holds up better than the Case.
I was just thinking... maybe some new tires! LOL good stuff!
watching the 4640 pull the Kuhn Landsaver 4810, im sure she could pull that 714 without whole lot of trouble
Get some tusk trilobites for that thing or maybe even some kenda exacusioners
What is the shank spacing? Remember to take a shovel along next time.
Rocket just looking back saying “peasant”
Time to upgrade the 4wheeler
Nice, tried strip till on hel ground, washed worse than conventional tillage.
I'd put some mini tractor tires on that wheeler it would go anywhere
Hi
You need to put tracks or new tires on your four wheeler great video
Yes #snow machine. Rocket the dog 🐕.
At least it wasn't a shed wall that you "adjusted" like my dad did a few years ago with our loader. Just stay safe iron and wood can be replaced limbs and your neck are a lot harder.
There’s a spot to hang weights on the back we run 8 total I definitely suggest hanging them
