    One note, I think would be helpful, is to Prefix all your example content, like tasks and notes, with EXAMPLE. While I'm learning this system, I still want that stuff in their to help me understand how everything is connected, because I may not make a new entry a certain database for awhile. But I want it to be easy to realize that it's not content that I created. Hope this makes sense.

      Thanks for the suggestion! I'll do this for my future templates :)

    You have been my inspiration. It is painful that I don't have the money to purchase your template but I am currently building my own life os and I am using this your template and system as an inspiration. I love the layouts and how you organize everything. Hopefully mine will be ready. Thank you @better creating for this template. It is an inspiration for me.

    Loved the video. Looking forward to the explanation of formulas and roll ups for the clippings counter. I am working on clarifying my resources management in Notion and having separate databases for clippings, documents, and notes. I'm eager to keep watching the rest of the series. :)

Please email notion@bettercreating.com and we can share the current beta version: the MUCH IMPROVED 2024 version of what you have (the bundle) will be ready for you in around a month I would think :) thanks for the feedback - already made those changes hopefully in upcoming guide videos :)

    i really like this... i mean, it's great. looks good.
    I just dont have the time, to sit and edit various notes and add tons of stuff to my daily tasks etc etc etc
    I look at my calendar once, maybe twice per day. i only put larger events in there, not... "7:00: eat cereal", "7:30: shower", "7:50: put on clothes" etc
    This would be such a time consuming system to keep up-to-date, that i just cant fathom, that anyone would want to.
    taking notes is great - keeping a good calendar is great..
    but i dont think you really do need this, at all.
    I know NOBODY who does anything like this, in the real world.
    Still - it looks great.

    • @BetterCreating

      Haha - this is brilliant. Yes - what you describe I agree would be extreme! I spent 2 months making a system, a week setting up everything and since then have spent 3-years with 10x more time, less stress and more effective output from it. Work income and life are very different. It’s all about perspective. However I definitely don’t micro manage and track. every minute of my life. :)

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there! I have a video tour on how it works - but there are not any videos on how to build the tracker on Life OS as it’s a large set of elements and databases. This is the tour. New Notion Habit Tracker! My Life OS Bullet Journal Guide 2023
      th-cam.com/video/fFML4HYWDXI/w-d-xo.html. I do however have a great simpler habit tracker build as part of my Notion From Scratch series - check the channel playlists for that :)

    When I try to update the year report from 2023 to 2024 it just erases it. Unless I keep the title as New Year Template 2023. As soon as I erase the number 3 the whole template disappears. I just want it to say 2024 and have all my goals and milestones linked to it

    • @danieljamespm
      @danieljamespm 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nevermind. I think I figured it out. I created a new template and linked all my new goals and milestones to that template and I think we are where we need to be. Thanks!

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ah got to hear. Yes: you need to create a new year, and then adjust the goals and milestone to link to that new year or create new ones… Hope that’s solved it for you! :)

    Hi. I just bought your Life OS templates and whilst I want to watch these videos to learn how to use and adapt them, and your videos show a lot of how things look once they are set up, I am stuck with your templates. The reason is, because I am not finding step-by-step instructions on how to import them into my Notion. And when I click on import and try to upload the files, they don't upload. The zip file don't upload or if I drill down to the individual files, they can;t be selected. I love how you have set up Notion and would love to start doing the same and adapting it, but I think I need more step-by-step instructions from the very beginning to follow to set it up using your templates. This is why I am stuck and I hope others are needing the same step-by-stepo approach that I need as well

      Hi there, and thanks for downloading - please duplicate the template into your workspace as you would with all Notion templates. You may be trying to import icon files or the help documents you have downloaded. In the download you will see a PDF with the template link within that. Click on the link to the template in that pdf and it will take you to the online copy of the template. From here you can select the duplicate option top right to add to your workspace. See Notion help for details on duplication of templates. PS. If you are brand new to Notion, do remember my life OS templates are big, so start setting yourself up in one area and explore how it works, and enjoy the journey! I do share instructions on the download pdf and very rarely find customers having an issue - but any more help needed to access, do email at notion@bettercreating.com Thanks, Simon

      @@BetterCreating Hi. Thanks for your response. I do appreciate it. I think I am going to give up on Notion and just go back to my Outlook, Apple Notes and Tasks in Outlook. Whilst I can see how powerful Notion could be, for those of us who have spent years and years using the tools we are used to, the learning curve can take so long (for busy people) and self-learning may be possible, but Notion is not self-explanatory and intuitive enough for new users to shorten that learning curve within a reasonable length of time to start getting some value out of it in the near term and then build on that. If I find a service where I can pay someone to build it for me, I might think about migrating to it

    The amount of time spend to set up, grow, expand and maintain a Notion environment can be better spend to just do your work. Notion is for people like you, making money by making lengthy tutorials for fools.

    • @BetterCreating
      @BetterCreating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t found that. The few months I invested in setting mine up has transformed my work and efficiency for years! Not least relieved a lot of anxiety of remembering and holding things in my various freelance work. I think what you say can definitely be true in some cases, but I would be careful not to tar everything with the same brush and write off, what for me, has transformed my work and given me way more time for living and doing stuff! Cheers. :)
