México tenía todo para ganar en tiempo regular o en tiempos extras, pero Mejía Barón prefirió amarrarse los cambios y no moverle nada, el hubiera no existe pero pienso que si el DT hubiese hecho alguna modificación la historia pudo ser distinta
Y Garcia Aspe y Bernal eran muy buenos para los penales, y los 2 fallaron. Este juego y el juego con Hollanda en 2014 son los que mas me duelen hasta este dia.

This was the beginning of Mexico’s downfall, always being eliminated in the knockout rounds of 16, they have never played a fifth game ever since then.
Mexico still holds record for the most world cup matches lost and most consecutive games played without winning a single world cup match. Mexico has NEVER reached the quarterfinals at the world cup as a non host. USA has done it twice already which is impressive considering soccer is not a popular sport in USA.
