I loved the energy you had in this video! I agree, by the way, YA in university absolutely has a place. I am at the end of my uni years, and they have been spend building genuine friendships, being nerdy and watching sunsets while (not quite legally) being on the roof of the chemistry department’s building. Really, if I ever have time, the idea of hunting a cryptid on campus or something like that would be super fun to write.
All of the Lady Hardcastle books are on kindle unlimited so I’m totally gonna read them. Also I agree with your comment on YA university books. I didn’t do anything in university that the adult books talk about.
I love a good series! You have inspired me to try The Extraordinary Adventures of the Athena Club at some point. One of the ones that I had never heard of that I enjoyed is The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning; I was obsessed at the time😂
The Mary Russell series by Laurie R King is amazing, and I think you would really like them. It's kind of a continuation of Sherlock Holmes, he has retired from London and now lives in the Sussex countryside. One day he stumbles across a girl (Mary) and realizes that she has the same deductive mind he does and she becomes his apprentice and he soon takes her on cases with him. This series focuses on Mary and her story, but Sherlock is a big part of it (another Mary and Sherlock :). I really think you will love it.
loooved The Ravens! The Monarchs was the first arc i've ever gotten from a publisher in 2020 like 6 months before its release and i have yet to read it lmao i keep forgetting about it!
This inspired me to check out The Strange Case if the Alchemist's Daughter! Please do a reread vlog, buddy read, or some sort of content I'm already obsessed with it!
My most underrated series (never seen it on booktube) is the Dauntless Path series by Intisar Khanani, it's so special to me and more people should read it!
The Themis Files is so good! Definitely a candidate for a future re-read! The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter has been on my tbr for years. I do not know why I never pick it up lol I also have mixed feelings about the Forward short stories but some of them were really really good! I especially loved Ark, Emergency Skin and The Last Conversation. There is a new series in the same vein out already! Has been published this year and it's from Amazon again with all kinds of well-known authors called Far Reaches. Veronica Roth wrote one again (Void).
The Veronica Speedwell mystery series by Deanna Raybourn is one of my favourite. Veronica and Stoker are the best couple! The banter, the sexual tension!!
2:03 I bought the first five lady hardcastle ebooks because of you, and the first two audiobooks as well (they were on sale so i was like ok i can spend $10 on 5 books haha).
My favorite series of all time is the Young Wizards series by Diane Duane, and I have never heard anyone talk about them. I also love the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix and highly recommend.
I haven't read Lady Hardcastle Mysteries yet, but it's on my TBR. However, I have read T.E. Kinsey's other series A Dizzy Height Mystery and I absolutely love it. There are only two books published. It is also a cozy mystery series and the amateur sleuths are members of a jazz band. It's set in the same universe as the Lady Hardcastle series and, actually, the drummer's wife (who is an American heiress) used to work with Lady Hardcastle and Florence. There have been some correspondence between them and I am hoping for a crossover at some point.
Have you read The Daughter of Doctor Moreau? It sounds like a similar premise to The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter and I'm curious how the two compare. 😃 Also, I'm realizing I haven't read enough Victorian mysteries lately...
I just wanted to let you know that you convinced me tot read the lady hardcastle books last year on audio and then I forced my friends to listen to them too and they love them as well!! I eagerly anticipating the 10th book!! so thank you for introducing me to some of my favorite audiobooks!
I’m only two minutes into the video but I had to say YES to the Lady Hardcastle series and HELL YES to the audiobooks. I don’t think I could read the books physically without hearing her voice. I’m on the last available book right now and I can’t wait for the next one to come out!!!
Just put the Sheets graphic novels in my Amazon cart! I don't read many series, but I really love Fright Watch by Lorien Lawrence. If you like spooky middle grade, then it's a great series of books so far, especially the first two.
I know you would LOVE the girl in his shadow and the surgeons daughter. They follow a surgeons ward who illegally practices medicine in the 19th century and makes a major medical discovery
I actually read the first book of the monster daughter series that you love. It was not my jam at all. It was very predictable and just fell flat for me. I'm sorry. If I won the lottery and paid an author to write more books- it would be for the Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faries. I can not wait for the next book in that series. Its so so good. Please check it out. Its more academic and romantic that fairy. There are fairies, but I'm not a fay girlie. 🙂👍🏻💛
Sleeping Giants is boring I read it wanted to continue by the end I changed my mind about it. Nothing about finding a statue of a statue hand so boring nothing happened...
THE VERONICA SPEEDWELL SERIES! Meg, I desperately need you to join me on this hype train. It is so so so so underhyped
Adding some of these to my TBR!! Thanks a million for the recs! You're a lifesaver! 💕

The Lady Hardcastle series definitely needs more people reading them! I've LOVED every book I've read from that series so far 😊
I love a good series! You have inspired me to try The Extraordinary Adventures of the Athena Club at some point. One of the ones that I had never heard of that I enjoyed is The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning; I was obsessed at the time😂

loooved The Ravens! The Monarchs was the first arc i've ever gotten from a publisher in 2020 like 6 months before its release and i have yet to read it lmao i keep forgetting about it!
You should read the Murder Most Unladylike series! It's a middle grade murder mystery series set in 1930s England, and I absolutely love it!!
I love Lady Harcastle and the Theodore Goss series is brilliant, I never wanted it to end. The audible was sooo good.
omg I love Sheets!!! I really need to read the following books!
This inspired me to check out The Strange Case if the Alchemist's Daughter! Please do a reread vlog, buddy read, or some sort of content I'm already obsessed with it!
I am loving the lady hardcastle series and need to read book 2 of that seires but i am going to give the audio a shot!!!

Because of you, I have read 4 of the Lady Hardcastle books this year. And I have the 5th on stand by… so I would say I love this series too. 🩷
I just started them...
I believe that The Lady Hardcastle books are on Kindle Unlimited, both the ebook and audiobooks together
I really liked the Raven! Haven’t read the monarchs yet though!
Ooooh... definitely adding some of these to my TBR!! Bring on more underrated hits!
just bought the first lady hardcastle and strange case of the alchemists daughter is on book beat so i’m very excited 👀
The Veronica Speedwell mystery series by Deanna Raybourn is one of my favourite. Veronica and Stoker are the best couple! The banter, the sexual tension!!

I definitely picked up the Theodora Goss books because of your channel and I immediately fell in love.
I read the Athena Club series because of you and it’s my favourite! I really enjoyed it and wouldn’t mind more
I learned about Lady Hardcastle series from you - I’ve read the first two and I love them. I have the third one waiting for me as well. ☺️
I was intoriduced to the Lady Hardcastle series through you and I absolutely love them 😍 I've read the first 2 books but will definitely continue ❤️
My favorite series of all time is the Young Wizards series by Diane Duane, and I have never heard anyone talk about them. I also love the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix and highly recommend.
I know that I will love the Lady Hardcastle series if I start it I just literally cannot justify starting another series right now 😭🤣
The Themis Files was the series that got me into SciFi! I am guilty of not talking about the series enough considering how much I loved it.

I read Sleeping Giants on your recommendation and I loved it! I need to continue with the series before I forget everything that happened.
Kass Morgan and The 100 series is amazing
The only drug I craved for at uni was 🎇 academic validation🎇 (and coffee. A lot of coffee.)
Admittedly, I am part of the crowd sleeping on Theodora Goss and the Lady Hardcastle series. Both are hard to find here!
Murder Mystery series? With amazing audiobook on Scribd? SIGN ME THE F IN! 😂
Just put the Sheets graphic novels in my Amazon cart! I don't read many series, but I really love Fright Watch by Lorien Lawrence. If you like spooky middle grade, then it's a great series of books so far, especially the first two.
a series i just came across and is really good the Dublin Murder Squad by Tana French i loved the dublin murder series
I have read a few of these but for the ones I haven't, since I don't like audiobooks, do you still recommend?
❤️📚❤️
I know you would LOVE the girl in his shadow and the surgeons daughter. They follow a surgeons ward who illegally practices medicine in the 19th century and makes a major medical discovery
This is going to cost my wallet some more tears 😭 lol 😂😂
