  • Jiri used stance switches to disrupt a rhythm that was extremely troubling, can never count the man out.

    Also the way he ducks half of his body down after the one two to avoid counter is amazing.

      Ya ultra instinct stuff from Jiri, he relies on this type of movement alot which is dangerous and entertaining.

      Max vs gaethje wasn’t even a fight lol. Max was winning most times. gaethje had no business there, doesn’t seem to know how to adjust to his opponent while max read him like an open book. It was a beat down. I dont think justin even had any highlights there at all, all the highlights were from max

    Shame that Rakic had that big infection on elbow and couldnt mix it up he had amazing rd1 started good rd2 but went in to enemy territory wild exchanges with Jiri. But we saw that Rakic has big potential and i hope Jiri up's his defense he cant rely on his toughness forever we saw that with Tony.

    mannn rakic looked good in there man. dude looked like he would mess up the whole division. problem is that he’s fighting an alien. i have no clue how jiri is that tough. really puts in to perspective how hard alex punches since he’s the only guy to really put down jiri with a punch

      I mean.... Imagine it was Herb Dean and not Marc Goddard. Marc is a very good ref, and at some level what Jiri does is almost gaming the system. So I won't say the stoppage wasn't fine, but what if it was Herb Dean?

    People love over analyzing. Jiri was pushing through Rakics pressure from pure heart and switched stances from his lead leg being battered. Caught him with a 1-2 on a stance switch. Simple as that. There's a lot less psychology involved then people think when it comes to Striking (different to Wrestling and BJJ)

    • @OnMicMMA
      @OnMicMMA  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Over analyze, its one minute long? This was so simple I didn't even wanna make this video... its a stance switch dude. The reason I didn't like this video is cuz really all it shows is why Pereira is smoking these guys. Rakic couldn't adjust from a stance switch and ended up cornered.

    • @artofmma2870
      @artofmma2870 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Not truth... Jiri is changing stances constantly, its simply harder to defend against.Its not defence thing but offense. Leg kicks are basically useless against Jiri. Also Rakič was all the time kicking with one leg meanwhile as u said Jiri changed the legs... - Rakič was more wobbly on legs during start r.2 just check it. - Roegan and DC were delusional..

    • @methdxman
      @methdxman หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      His leg was not 'battered'. His movement became fluid again. And if you look at his entire history, he's always stance switching and spamming left high kicks. Actually the finishing sequence started really with a left high kick that stunned him. Same thing happened to Oezdemir. Yes stance switch preceded the 1-2, but it was the head feint that completely froze Rakic. I agree that it's mostly instinct but that's the point, his whole style is based on flowing.

    People talk about Alex Pereira being hittable, but damn, Jiri is hittable af.
    He is more hittable than Pereira, but nobody talks about how easy it is to hit Jiri, but they always talk about how easy it is to hit Pereira, and how easy they will ko him.

    • @AlfredBundy
      @AlfredBundy 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honestly his defence is so terrible for how successful he is. Really nice offence, distance control and he sets stuff up with feints well but he barely ever takes his head off the centre line when he moves into punching range. He moves in with his head above his hips and refuses to bring his hands up even in close range and gets caught constantly because of it. Its his durability that saves him.

    • @terolek
      @terolek 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AlfredBundy True, if he wasn't that durable, he wouldn't have success in striking. A good boxer will always hit him.
