There isn’t much to say to this SN020-G… It’s absolutely gorgeous! The clasp, is one feature I’d like more brands to implement or San Martin to sell separately, without the logo! I like the slight distortion on the outer edge of the crystal, which is just so beautifully domed. Double domed boxed, gorgeous! I have the Addiesdive explorer homage (AD2112). So I’m quickly gonna compare the 2. The SN020-G has thinner lugs, this clasp, whereas the AD2112 uses a pressed divers clasp and the SN020-G has this gorgeous looking sapphire. But the Addiesdive has the more appropriate movement, NH38, and this novelty bracelet with the quick adjustment. Id would be hard pressed to decide which is better, they are both excellent! For me it comes down to this, if you want a submariner style dial, the SN020-G, but if you want an explorer style dial the Addiesdive! I totally don’t understand why some hate on San Martins logo so much, it’s looks very pleasant to me I must say! Enjoy the SN020-G! Thanks for the review!

I like the aesthetics of this watch, what draws me back is the Movement, I would have purchased this if it were in Seiko NH35A, I appreciate your review of the Epson YN55 movement, I’m just a huge Seiko fan, my oldest Seiko is a Kinetic auto relay which is 21 years old, still ticking fine

The YN55A is reliable and well proven in several Orient watches such as the Kamasu; however it doesn't feel as smooth when manually winding. San Martin are also selling this watch with the PT5000 now; but the price is much higher; so this YN55A version is a better option. Regards, #WR4K

The SN020-G is better quality. The AD2112, and AD2113 are equal quality. As there isn't a blue SN0021-G-B2, I recommend the AD2113, and upgrade the clasp to a solid milled one (see link in pinned comment to a suitable one). I like it....but I can't help feeling that the indices and logo are just ever so slightly out of proportion (small) and makes the dial somewhat bare? Or it couldbe the crystal making it look so? Great review.

Been wanting to ask you about the san martin oyster bracelet of the 020g2 limited. Is it a little sharp on the link sides? I feel it cuts a little into the skin and when I use my nail on it, it kinda cuts. and if so, is the rolex oyster just as sharp or a little round off?
The edges on mine aren't sharp. They feel the same as the edges on my Oyster Perpetual 41, and Submariner. You can easily make your bracelet feel less sharp using an emery board (nail file). See link below for the type I mean. These are 100/180 grit. The 100 grit side will be enough to blunt the edges. The watch arrived yesterday and after wearing it for 24hrs, it's a gem... only with its included bracelet. I found the pointy part of lugs to be quite sharp which scares me a little to put this on a leather strap (not that I will ever do that, the bracelet is just too good). now I what that kind of oyster-style bracelet on all my watches XD

However the SN020-G is better quality; due to the excellent 2-button clasp with 4 micro adjustments, versus the low quality pressed clasp with only 2. Yes, it can be upgraded to a solid milled clasp; however it won't be as good as the SN020-G clasp. Other than that the specification, build quality, QC, materials, are similar. It’s absolutely gorgeous!
The clasp, is one feature I’d like more brands to implement or San Martin to sell separately, without the logo!

YN55 has a noisy rotor? NH35 are fine for me but I ever had an YN55... Afraid to repeat my experiences with Miyota movements...
The YN55A rotor sounds similar to the NH35A. Yes, Miyota movements such as the 8215 have noisy rotors. The 9015 is quieter. Regards, #WR4K
