    When you outplay the best team in the nation, absolutely bottle up O'Neill for an entire half, make the perfect defensive play in the biggest possession of the game, and then the other team just gets handed an undeserved win. Feel bad for the boys in navy & white, should have had a chance to send themselves to their first championship game ever. Such a criminal call.

      At least we will have a good title game now. PSU wouldn’t have beat UVA or ND, anyway, and i doubt it would have been close. Can’t see them duplicating todays effort twice in 3 days. They were never considered a truly elite team during the season, and with good reason. No at least one of the undisputed top three teams in the country will win the title. That’s the way it should be in every sport.

      Not sure what game you were watching but none of what you said happened. I don't even like Duke but they were the better team.

      @@jjlax7 Ahh gotta love a hypothetical situation. Just because you couldn't see them playing that well again doesn't mean it can't be replicated. I'll admit PSU wasn't considered an elite team all season and was clearly the weakest of the Semi-Finalists heading into the weekend, but they earned a chance to play Monday and anything can happen. And it's a tournament, you get seeded for a reason, the teams that make it to the final are the best teams at the time regardless of rank. A # next to your name doesn't automatically make you the best and we saw that today. Penn State had a better game plan and outplayed Duke, should've at least had an OT possession.

    Great game but this highlight reel SUCKS. Not enough time on either side of the scores to get the context of the plays unfolding, and the last goal is COMPLETELY OBSCURED by the ads for other videos.

      Wrong call on regulation in crease to take away Duke goal. Ball was in net before foot on line. Should have never went to overtime in the first place. Need to implement the replay for crease violations.

    What a dirty way to win. And the dude had just fired THREE straight shots high and wide, couldn’t hit the goal. The nerve the guy had to celebrate like that, F him. This wasn’t a “go either way call,” his foot was clearly in the crease and he clearly made that move without be shoved.
    If ND can’t win, this season needs an asterisk. Duke didn’t score a legitimate goal.

    Think if posey was playing o’neil may still got point or two but wouldn’t of been unstoppable like first half. O’neil is great player but when defender plays him very physical n non stop hammers him when he has ball he tends to shy away from going as much look at owen grant(delaware game) even fake of ND same thing. Posey is that type of player also. But second o’neil beats ya n realizes ur not gonna play him that way he knows he has ya. That’s just my opinion or what i’ve seen throughout his career. Either way great season by penn state and ultimately was great semis games to watch besides end of psu duke game of course. I will be rooting for the fans come chip game day. Rather not see duke win another or notre dame get their first.

    I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts, but was Leadman pushed in the back before stepping in the crease? If so you could argue that would have given them possession again. I know that's not the same as a goal, but if the ref missed the push call and the crease call it's 2 missed calls for each team.

    • @nayr497
      @nayr497 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, he clearly jumped/leaned in on his own. That’s a very clear no goal. I absolutely hate excessive play reviews, but this needed to be called OR overturned. Not fair to the game, the fans, the players.

    • @nayr497
      @nayr497 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, he was not. And the guy knows he stepped in. You play lacrosse every day for 15 years, you intuitively know where the crease is. And then the overrated AA runs around celebrating his non-goal.
      We all saw what happened dude, you didn’t score.

    penn state may not been most talented team but they def played with more heart and grit then an other team i saw most of the year. Duke owns uva n penn state took duke still won’t say psu lost that game. Also maby if posey wasn’t hurt could of shut down o’neil even first half or game. Not always best team wins it , who plays with more heart and plays better that day. Penn state didn’t deserve to go out on that call. If refs even took an extra second to look at big screen would of seen what everyone else did. Didn’t even bother to discuss it or attempt make sure was right. Funny how the two teams snubbed from tounry last year are ones to make it this year duke mostly not earning it more then Notre dame. Tho think petey was pushed when picked up last faceoff before notre dame got it.
