    Great list! Two of my favorite bourbons are wild turkey rare breed and old forester 1920. There's so much good stuff out there. So drink what you like and be happy 😊 whiskey is all about relaxing and appreciation

    Great video and info thanks! I just started getting into bourbon this summer. I have bought a decent amount of these from the list because of you tube videos like yours and others so thanks for putting out the content. I always appreciate the videos that focus on available bourbons. Being in south florida I have yet to find a good local liquor store where I can meet the owner and develop a relationship for allocated bourbon. It's either the big chain places or small stores that just seem to put alcohol on the shelf to make a living but they are not really enthusiasts. My default is just total wine and more and they don't hand out more hard to get stuff (I wish I could get Stagg Jr or EH Taylor to try out). Of the list I have had pretty much everything except EC barrel proof which seems impossible to find. I really love 1920 and JDSBBP (I also really like Rare Breed which I don't think was called out)

    • @BourbonRealTalk
      @BourbonRealTalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I drink 101 and RR and do not usually buy Rare Breed. Love it, but that isn't a line I frequently purchase so I left it off the list. ECBP is widely available in N TX where I am from. Didn't mean to put a hard one on the list. Cheers!

    I have only ever had one bourbon since I just turned 21 this summer. I got Wild Turkey 81 and have so far tried it neat, in a homemade old-fashioned, and as a whiskey sour. I really like the whiskey sour and am getting used to the taste. I normally am a amber ale or dark beer drinker. I am thinking of trying makers mark when I eventually make it through the Wild Turkey.

    • @BourbonRealTalk
      @BourbonRealTalk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is great! You have your whole life to figure out what you like. No rush and no need to push yourself. Just make sure you are drinking responsibly and it is fun for you. If you have a desire to work your way into neat pours (which is the lowest calorie way to drink), don't be afraid to drink cocktails. Over time mix them a little stronger until you are used to the higher proof. Then switch to water and ice and reduce the water over time. Keep on that path and you will either end up drinking neat, or find a way to drink your whiskey that you enjoy so much you just stop trying to drink it straight. Cheers!

    Well that was a Fantastic Top Ten List! I don't understand the infighting over Tennessee Whiskey vs Bourbon, it's like Ford vs Chevy guys,...it's all whiskey just like they are all internal combustion products. Anyway, thanks for your personal insight Randy, I'll have to look for some of those up here. Canada has limited shelf space for Bourbons it would seem, which makes it fun to try and track down certain bottles and frustrating that we get such a narrow selection. The good news is it is getting better! Seems Covid-19 has helped turn our Nation on to whiskey / whisky from all over not just Canada and Scotland. With luck it won't be too far off that I can go into my local liquor store and pick up a bottle of Old Forester 1920, or Knob Creek Cask Strength, 1792 etc.
