- In this Vlog, we head to the beautiful Efteling theme park in the Netherlands for our first-ever visit. We experience all of the major rides and attractions the park has to offer, as well as some of the smaller things to.

We have just got back from a 3 day trip and we are in love ❤ The theming, the ambiance and the rides are all incredible

The lift hill for Python is indeed so slow to enable two train running without having to wait for the station. When they are running one train it is quicker (although still not very quick).

I love the slow lifthill.. building expectations.. looking round over the trees.. And it is nostalgic. I hate speed coasters. If you like fast.. you better go to Walibi. Efteling is more family friendly .. not extreme.. Pagode could also be done fast.. up and down in 10 seconds but I like the slow moving view you get. Also love the white slow boats, a 20 minute ride. I don´t understand why there aren´t more slow boat rides in parks. There is too much emphasis on thrill rides in my opinion.
Tip from me: If you want to ride some of the coasters in the dark, go to the Efteling in the winter. It's dark at 4:30 pm here, but the park stays open till 6 pm ;) And riding a coaster in the dark is something else let me tell you.

Python first opened in april 1981, it was the largest coaster in Europe when it opened, the lift hill is still the original, that was not replaced
Trust me, the operations in Efteling are excellent, doesn't matter if it is busy or not, and I think it is mainly because Efteling mastered the spreading of people around the park! Thumbs up and I subscribed!
tbh, i feel like its not that Efteling has mastered the spreading of the people, but that the park is so massive and expansive, that the spreading happens naturally.
Like, there are people who want to do the coasters first, while families with children probably head to the Fairy tale forest or the Dark rides first.

Water coaster is called de Vliegende Hollander(the flying dutchman)
Python was the biggest looping coaster in Europe when it opened. They keep it as close to original becouse of the history. Thats why there is almost no theme

There are no animatronics in Fata Morgana. It's all wheels, strings and pulleys!
The name of the water coaster/darkride is: De Vliegende Hollander/ The Flying Dutchman

You know what? It was almost 25 C today and 25 C tomorrow. Sunny week, expecting 30 C even later.... I almost forgot that july was such a rainy month this year. For once the rain fell at the other side of the North Sea. Anyhow, I complete agree with you. I said it before to others: the entrance alone is reason alone why you should go to the Efteling. It's a marvel of achitecture. Some even thought it couldn't be done.
You'd wish every park in the world would spend 17 million guilders on their entrance. The House of the Five Senses would cost nearly € 14 million nowadays.
The reason why the lift-hill of Python is so slow is because Python is in a nature park and they don't want to disturb the wildlife!
I don't think that is the case. It's slow to enable them to run two trains without the train having to brake hard and wait for the station.
Eftelings annual pass is great value even for us (we are from the uk) you get loads of free entries and discount entries to other european parks....
I was there last week with my daughter.
She literally fell asleep in the lift hill of Python! 😂 I poked her when we were almost on top and she woke up😂
It would have been funnier to let her sleep. 😁

Watercoaster is vliegende Hollander, or Flying dutchman. Your dad is right prenounsing pirana. You did well with Joris en de Draak though. Next to Joris you can Draak Etna😊
Actually he is NOT, it should be pronounced Piranja, because of the accent on the N!
The Pirana thing was just be being an idiot 🤣 I had no idea how to pronounce half of the rides there

Helaas niet. Ze hebben haar tijd geleden permanent stil gezet. Onderhoud was te duur want ze had steeds teveel kwaaltjes. Daarom permanent stil en opfrisbeurtje met verf. Nu straalt ze gewoon in de zon.

You only pay entry for Efteling, all the rides are free after that 😊
If you book a stay at the resort entry is included too, on all days of your stay. So 1 night= 2 days in park, 2 nights= 3 days and so on.
It really is the best way to enjoy the park.
And to see all of the park you really need 2 days, Efteling does not have fast passes or skip the queue tickets.
Your pronunciation of 1898 is very good, Joris en de Draak not so. Try to say it like Yohris an the draack (phonetic). Vliegende Hollander is a league of it's own try to say that like vleaghende hohlahnder.
