The grout will actually come off easier if you let it dry. You can then brush it off with a soft wire brush in circular motions, then again with a nylon brush. Wipe your mosaic of with a clean dry cloth in the end. Just sweep up the dry loose grout and viola.
@ the important thing is to be sure the grout between the pieces of glass is completely dry. You can test that by inserting a pin into a discreet area to see if the grout is impenetrable. You don’t want to accidentally grab a “wettish” chunk with the wire brush a pull it out of place. The dry grout you’ll brush off doesn’t become anymore difficult with a longer drying time. You could even do that step the next day or whenever works best with your time. But if you’re eager to get it finished, like most of us, wait at least a 4-5 hours. This process is so much cleaner than wiping away at wet grout. Do your brushing outside if possible.. the dry grout (powdery now) will need to go somewhere.
Lovely, lovely piece!! Just want to say the music is a bit loud and some of what you say is indiscernible. I love the technique and will try a piece like this! Thanks for the tips.
No you do not necessarily have to grout it. However if you do not do some type of grouting either with a cement type grout or an epoxy type grout you're going to run the risk of dirt collecting in between all of the spaces.
I don't know how to turn the volume down without losing her comments. I don't think anyone is being mean they are just saying their feelings about the music. The video is excellent but some people would like to not have that kind of music being so loud
That's an absolutely beautiful mosaic window! You explain the process well too! Thank you for sharing 😊

How long would you let it dry?

Oh, so beautiful! You are very clever! Thanks for the vid
Beautiful! So, it's two years later...how has the sanded grout held up?
Aww, it's lovely! And you're so sweet, I love watching you create!

WOW! Truly awesome! Thank you.
Beautiful!
Where did you find the bright pink glass? I have only been able to find pale pink.
Stunning 😍 love the colors you chose ❤
Love this window but is grouting necessary or required? I like the grout but also loved it without the grout

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. What is what you spray at the finish work?
This is absolutely beautiful!!!
What is the purpose of misting it and then putting the towel on top?
Very pretty !
Gorgeous!❤ Thank you!
Very pretty .
great video - thank you
Gorgeous!!!! How much would you sell a piece like that? I'm having a hard time pricing anything I make.
I add up the price of the piece ,glass, glue, frame, bobbles, and then add up the time. I charge $25 an hour.
I hear you that is a difficult task for me as well I think that I would probably price this at about $150 to maybe $175. $200 at the most.
@@dorothyday3270so how many hours then did this take you
Fabulous!
Do you polish at all in the end?
Do you spray it with a sealer or anything once it is complete?
I do not, but you could use grout sealer.
Where do u buy the glass pieces?
How do you choose a grout color??
So, do you have a layer of the glue covering the entire surface or just under the pieces before grouting??
There's a part one to this video and she just puts the glue under the pieces.
Just under the pieces ;)
You actually could do it that way
Why do you only have two videos? Did you decide to stop the TH-cam channel?
Some people just so mean. I guess they didn't know how to turn the volume down

I absolutely would wear gloves. Your hands get too dried out and not to mention your nails. Nice work though
This video is spoiled due to the repetitive background music, it would be much better turned off.
Turn on close captioning and turn the sound off.
