This video is like looking in the mirror 😂. I keep an extension ladder on the neck of my 410 Prentice and use it to set chokers on a regular basis. 230d and 225 d Timberjack as well. Good work
That gave me flashbacks! I had a 29" DBH ash that had natural lean and canopy mass that would take it right into a building... My hinge was about 90° to the natural lean. I used an 8 lb. sledge, stacked wedges, a 4" glut, and about 20 minutes of pounding to get it to go over. There was no machine access nor any anchors for using a winch. It went where I wanted it to but I was exhausted... and watching this made me feel sympathy exhaustion! 😉
Beautiful stick but of all days a slight breeze sure would have been nice! My shoulders will be sore for 2 days just from watching!💪Was this a property line or were you afraid it might split up top going the other direction?
You have a winch, dump it the way it's leaning. That's a good way to saw it off the stump, then it would have went over backwards and got you and your saw.
