Daggerwin, I recommend spending downtime on the farm looking for collectables. They are hidden around the map and worth 50k each. It's a great way to explore the map and boost the farm income!
great series! I really wish they would implement hand tools - a small vineyard like that should be able to be harvested by hand with some simple shears. It seems unreasonable that the ONLY way to harvest grapes is with a stupidly expensive harvester.
Same with potatoes and sugar beets. Modders will have to solve that unfortunately. It's like Giants haven't learned from those mistakes from past titles at all 🙄
Im a vineyard operator and have spent the last 6 years operating these Brauds during vintage. Seeing the detail in this sim is crazy! There definitely is cheaper options that utilise tractors with a tow behind harvester, would love to see those in the sim, there's certainly more to do in an operator's sense with needing a bin chaser as well as the technique on turns etc
I'm eagerly awaiting a mod to fix that Price Fluctuations graph to add some units to the vertical access. It needs to show the price ranges, because we can't see how much the price changes throughout the year. The difference between October and April could be 5%, 50% or 500% and there's no way to know.
Its sp annoying. You are waiting for the "best price" where in the month your supposed to be, it's worst then the lower price in the graph. I can't wait for a fix or a mod. When should even know what the max price is also.
Can't wait for the modders to start working their magic on this game. After 3 years of having mods for FS19 you forget just how insane the price is for base game implements.
also good practice i think during the winter is winter crops. im from the eastern plains of Colorado in the US and out there, a lot of farmers would plant crops like wheat in the late summer and early fall to have a crop on their field over winter. it helped to keep the field from damage from the snow, but when they harvest the wheat, they were able to use what was leftover from the wheat to re-cultivate into their field for crops like corn and sugar beats.
Just a suggestion to save time there is a place down by the river to fill your water tank down next to your fields just to save some time and also sell some of your sheep to let them reproduce
Started a new campaign on this map and the first used market inventory included a 50% off Massey Ferguson Drop Nose. It was like Christmas Morning, love this addition to the game!

You don't have to place the factories in your own yard, they are already located around the map (Look for the production symbol on the map). You still need to buy them tho, same price as in the store. There is gonna be a wrench icon at the front door you can interact with to buy them. Ofc gonna save you a lot of traveling to have them in your own yard lol. And btw, the fruit from the greenhouse that are already spawned on the ground, I don't think they will auto sell. Also, in my game I have seen 2 pallets of honey at once, but for the most time just 1. Could be a glitch that I get 2 every now and then, when I do the 2nd one are placed halfway otside the spawn area.
Keep it up daggerwin, smashing out the content !!! Really is appreciated, been watching since 15 and has given me so many good tips and tricks on the game !!! Thank you !
Perhaps when there's nothing to do you could cut the grass round the fields and store it in the silo, you'd have had months worth by now and a lot of money.
if you guys wonder about the plant abuse he talked about, especially shaking the tree to get the apples, imagine you sit in a massage chair that's set just a notch too high for comfort, it doesn't affect you much if at all, but it's not chill either
One thing I always enjoyed abt Fs games was how dark it actually was at night. Like is actually required to put on your lights on order to see unlike some games where you could see easily at night even without your lights on

You can get trailed grape harvesters IRL so I would guess someone will mod one in at some point if Giants dont add one. I'm not sure what Giants set the ROI in grapes at but I had almost 100k worth of grapes placed (7 or 8 rows on the same field as you but the entire length) with full fertilization still needed plowing if that matters and I didnt make enough to cover the cost of the harvester rental even with easy prices. So you would probably need to cover half of that field just to cover the harvester rental cost.
I’m buying this for PC after work… I was thinking shall I or not. But after this episode it’s a 100% yes. I’m interested in the production side of it soooo much!

You should keep the plow because the map says the fields “need plowing”
Tree shaking is also meant to stimulate roots so they get a good crop next year too
