My Durango boots were my first. They are so comfortable I walked 10 miles in downtown Nashville the first time I ever wore them. My feet felt amazing even after that. I’m a believer.

What a GREAT video about a TERRIBLE pair of boots! I was hooked during the first, action-packed 8 seconds of the video! I thought I was watching an industrial rodeo!
Chinese-made, American flag pattern boots though? Are you kidding me?! I would go on, but my mamma told me "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Talk about “Kicking A$$ and Taking Names”- those mares sure didn’t get the memo. Glad you came away in one piece, JC!! Great video for a not so great pair of boots. At least you were able to try some nice chardonnay wine. Hope you took a bottle home.

So I for some reason bought this same design of boots (as the price was within my current budget), but was curious about pattern longevity. It’s good to know that a more traditional stitching pattern would probably be better in that regard than this (even though it’s from Chy-na)! In that case, I thank you for your honest review!

My first pair of cowboy boots was Durango Rebels (Not the American Flag ones). I've worked in them for years. I work in a grocery store and it's the perfect pair of work boots for my work. They the only cowboy boots I can wear year round here in Southwest Georgia. The wide foot and cloth sides breath and wick sweat away. Thanks for explaining the "lumps" under the toes. I thought is was the cheep insole so I replace it with Dr. Scholl's fixed it

It's a good starter boot, warmine 8-hour day concrete floor or out the stitching on the back with my heel so I'll never do that again, stitching in the middle of boot stack. My first pair is free but that started me on the road of buying boots so like I said good starter boot

J.C., as a horse owner who’s been kicked twice, you’re damn lucky, especially that second one. And it happens so fast it is amazing how fast it happens. I’m glad got away with that one.

Interesting note, horse have a kick force of about 2000 psi. Very lucky indeed. My mare has a neurologist disorder that causes her back leg to “spring out” if you hold it too long. She got my leg one day when it was flaring up. She narrowly missed my shin bone. 2 years later and I still have a mark there lol. She saw me go down and she came up to me and put her head on my shoulder until I could pull myself up.

Interesting, I have a pair of Durango Rebels, but they’re different, the insole is different and the sole itself is a different rubber, mine are waterproof and the upper is like a canvas type material, I have had mine for years and I have literally put hundreds of miles on them hiking around the woods, fields and mountains of Virginia, rarely have I cleaned or treated them, and they’ve been consistently exposed to sticks, stones, briers, mud, water, snow, and whatever else you can imagine out in the backwoods and they are still going strong, I absolutely love mine, so my experience is different with them for sure!!

I've owned a pair of Durango boots from China for a little over a year. They were cheap, under $70 on clearance if I recall correctly, and I was very skeptical. I have to say they were very easy to break in and they are the most comfortable pair of western boots I've ever owned. They look plain, but work great for every day boots.
