The adjustments for today's game deserve a coach recognition. When Boston, Clark, and Mitchell play as a team good things happen. When you rotate your players new situations occur. In this game, the rotation brings rest time for the initial 5 players, doubles the rebounds, makes a better defense, and creates more offense and points. If they continue playing this way they can be better and better.
Sides recognized that Wallace and Wheeler were not having great games and played Lexi more and did a great job. Team looked great...chemistry is coming along. Smith and AB were tough under boards especially 2nd half Sky O boards. Caitlin overall her best game...her vision....highlights got a second look. Samuelson hit some 3's at crucial times. Mitchell is coming into her own again.
Now they're playing ball! The cuts, screens, pick, and rolls between CC and Boston were amazing! Alycia Boston did damage and to hold Reese and Cardosa. This is why the players in the W have said to be patient! They're getting better, and the continuity is getting better(notice how quickly they helped CC up and all the smiles between the team).
I tuned in to watch CC, However I’ve learned to love the entire team. Kelsey reminds me of the microwave Vincent Johnson. Stats are one thing, but the best state of all is a W. The way they pass & shot the ball today, will get them more wins. Even though you can tell there is jealousy on the team. But W’s will heal that.
Great video comparisons of how her Iowa team mates knew how to screen better than the Fever - kind of mind blowing & befuddling. She has brilliant team mates. I'm sure given some rest and time they can figure it out on their own. I doubt Sides knows how to teach them.

Easily their best game overall of the year. Clark was the most efficient I have seen her, Boston has looked like last years rookie of the year the last couple games and his been playing MUCH better. The team chemistry looks like it is improving tremendously, Clark 23 with 9 assists, Boston 19 with 14 rebounds, Mitchell 17, Smith 15. Lexie Hull should start over Wallace, she is a better overall player, especially on the defensive side.

CC was vibing with both forwards. Screens were a lot better. And rolled off screen all the way to the hole instead of rolling to the free throw line. I thought this was their best performance yet.. The more I kept seeing people insist that everyone be grateful… other players work hard too and what competitor takes it well when you tell them to bow down and thank some girl for making your sport popular… belittling people has never worked and if the other players don’t do their jobs with as much confidence as usual then there’d be no reason to anything Clark did. People have to use their common sense and apparently they’ve gone overboard trying to fight against the people that don’t like her, which obviously exist but I think her coach and her teammates are doing a great job of treating her normally which I am sure she appreciates
Coach Sides: start every 24 offense with Boston at high post, perimeter screen for shooters, then roll towards bucket expecting a pass/assist or rebound. She STILL doesn't know HOW to set a GOOD/SOLID screen. it's high school basketball skill.
And if you get double or triple teamed don't try to shoot or you will get blocked. Kick it back out to the open person.
