Highlights of USA's Coleman Scott winning Bronze in the Men's Wrestling Freestyle 60kg during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The 1900 Games were the only ones where wrestling was not present in any shape or form. As from the 1908 Olympic Games in London, Greco-Roman wrestling has always been included on the programme. Since the 1920 Antwerp Games, there have been both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling competitions.

I'm glad Scott turned this into a medal. If you remember he almost didn't get onto the team. IT was a very close qualifying between Scott and Shawn Bunch.

It's also pretty shameful that the announcer has no clue what's going on or what sort of wrestling moves/strategy are happening. "Looks like a danger position..."?? Wtf. You can't have 1 expert there who knows what they're talking about? It's the freaking Olympics for G-d sake

Agreed. The commentator was from Australia, they aren't really known for their wrestling down there. I actually cannot recall any competitive wrestler ever coming from there actually.

I don’t think was NBC’s announcer. It’s probably the international broadcast.
Still, they should have someone who’s knowledge. It’s not like there’s a shortage.

PA has always produced top notch wrestlers!
      I wonder why that is?
I'm from Florida and have wrestled since HS where in PA they get their first singlet before they can walk!!

English announcers, with zero history or knowledge of wrestling, announcing a sport they are absolutely clueless about. How about having a NASCAR driver commentate on a cricket match while you are at it.
