Her being literally elevated, with a much nicer place than his...her heart, in a way, in her chest while his was at his feet...the bird...the fact that they always met but never within reach of each other.....I want to know how other people think about it.
What I love about this story is that it didn't waste the viewer's time. You immediately get what's going on. Boy is planning something. They're stuck. He and the girl are obviously into each other by the primping and the emotions when they failed to be together. The goal with the diamond. The dangers, etc. I was watching with so much anticipation when he braved the dangers of crushing gears and chains. A part of me, who had watched animations for so long, knew this could end badly. But I love the bird in the end, I don't think anyone expected that.
