After running the show backstage for the Gandhis in Amethi and Raebareli for 41 years, Kishori Lal Sharma, who was brought to the frontlines by the Congress, won the Lok Sabha election from MP. But it was not just his victory from the legacy 'Gandhi family seat' which makes him one of the most taled about victories, but the defeat of his opponent and BJP heavyweight Smriti Irani with a margin of 1.67 lakh votes.
