It was a setup referred to by Masters of the game as "Immortality". In other words, neither side could make a move where they could win. But Yanqinq hadn't noticed, and was too busy trying to win. It's meant to represent the current situation the Xianzhou Luofu finds itself in, with neither the Xianzhou nor the Mara-Stricken really able to come out on top of one another. When Jing Yuan stole the piece, it was essentially him showing that he was willing to do whatever it takes to find a path out of the current situation. The specific piece he stole is known as the "Chariot", which in other cases can be translated to "train". I.e, the Trailblazer. Basically, Jing Yuan hopes that our arrival will be what is required in order to save the Luofu from it's current state. And yes, he stole the piece not so he could win, but so that he could let Yanqinq win. But Yanqinq noticed.

As someone who has had their eyes on Jing Yuan since the first time I saw him even before the game was out, I just have to say... Holy shit, your voice for him is SO SEXY. It's something about that darker, and lower pitch of it that just makes me feel things. It's sultry to my ears. BUT the voice also has layers, which makes it even better! I'm the type of person that always pays the greatest attention to voices, it does so much for a character. You did such a fantastic job, and you're honestly starting to become one of my favorite VA's out there!
I pulled Jing Yuan because he reminds of Zhongli. From having Yan Qing as his kid (ehem Xiao ehem), the Lighting Lord summoning (meteor from sky), chinese fashion to the deep voice. He's perfect!
I'm generally really bias with JP VAs but ever since I've started Genshin and Honkai, hoyo surely knows how to find the gems. I love and enjoy the performances of voices they choose for the game. Esp Cy Yu, he's one of the best!

@Allen Mikkél cyno gave me the worst time, but raiden was early both times I pulled her. Hopefully Jing Yuan will give me mercy, but I did get E1 Yanqing within 16 rolls so at least I have time
