your dynamite story reminds me of a dynamite story I got. My old man got some dynamite to break up a few pickup sized boulders on a new chunk of ground he got. he was of the mindset of "If its worth doing its worth over doing" and after turning a few 100 tons of Manitoba granite into pixie dust he still had considerable amounts of dynamite left in the box. one day in my teenage years dad comes to me and says "well Jon you'll be taking this operation over one day and we really need to take care of this dynamite so it don't surprise you one day." After strategically placed straw piles in the bucket of the 7810 and on the cement floor underneath the loft of the cold storage and about two dozen shopping bags he comes out with the first sticks....., I knew the "danger was real " when the man who was pretty sure that physics did not pertain to him came out of the shed with a bag of old dynamite carrying it arms length like it was a stinky dog turd......, I'll admit It took a few days for me to ponder the situation long enough to say "wait......., what the hell good was it going to do to carry at arms legnth!!!!??????"
See, Brian, that's the beauty of the internet. You can strap Cole down and make him watch every Jim Stafford video on TH-cam. Funny thing is, he'll thank you. Jim was funny as heck, and an awesome guitar player.
Young fellers it does my heart so good to see you guys caring enough about those animals and also trying to prevent pink eye nothing more sadder then watching the animals pickled in fly's!
I am late on this one, but it hit me hard. I miss my father every day even though he has been dead for 3 decades. Make the most of the relationship you have with your Dad - it is precious and will stand you in good stead when it comes your turn to miss him.
I hear you brother, my Dad has been gone 6 years now and I miss him so much. He taught me how to hunt and how to be a good person. He was a US Marine in Korea combat wounded twice I also was a Marine as I wanted to follow in my fathers foot steps. What a great Man he was!!!
Love your "what's Dad going say now" side eye Cole! 😁 As well as cleaning the bin sides maybe the dynamite explosion turned the kernels into pop corn, so it was party time in more ways than one....🌽🍿 Mr Brian I am loving your pop-ups when Cole's back is kinda turned, so hemay not see it til editing time. My Dad passed 20 years ago n did the same thing in pics but back then it was called photo bombing. LOL! 😆🐨 You Sir, remind me so much of him n I cant thank you enough for the amazing memories you bring to me. 🙏💙
I have been watching your videos for quite some time. Your cattle look good and healthy they have some meat on their bones. I now that rain fall has been a issue. Hope you have a great harvest.
Hey Cole. We were driving down I-90 watching the latest Sonne Farms video. Decided it was time for some go-go juice and lunch and of course a quick picture of the Corn Palace. Just wanted to give you fellas a shout out and and tell you to keep up the good work, safely! Sincerely Jeff & Nancy from Michigan!
Put store information( advertisement) on side of your vechicles. A magnetic one could be moved. Just a suggestion. I appreciate your show. God Bless you and your family.
Years ago (the 1950s) you could go to the hardware store and buy dynamite. In school, there were posters telling the kids to not play with blasting caps.
Another great video Cole as always. Also like it very much as Brian shows thumbs up at the most unusual times.Glad to hear your new store is starting to take off. God Bless Gerry
Hey, I resemble that! I remember Lawrence Welk & Jim Stafford...Just gave myself away. I love watching men at work on the farm. You guys Crack me up! Actually Cole you do a great presentation of what goes on at the farm. Thank you, enjoyed it.
Great day you two!!!! Just about lost it when Brian says "want to know what Cole said last night? Who is Lawrence Welk?" !!!!! Just made me laugh so hard. I am almost 60, and my Grandpa came from Mott North Dakota. His mother was from Norweigen decent, and one of the most popular shows he loved. We watched that every weekend. So to me it is so funny.!!!!! Oh my husband says to Cole that that is called a Booty Burner. Hot links are done here in this house.
Lawrence Welk and HeeHaw were a weekly event on my grandparents tv. They got 2 or 3 channels on a black and white tv. They owned a 40 cow dairy, never planted corn and fed bagged grain and dry hay. Never had a bulk tank, always used a dump station and shipped canned milk.
Steak pepper pot add some garlic in it... Steak ginger beef.. These are some new recipe's for beef you could google some new things most can be wrapped in a wrap with rice and make great lunches😉👍as lunches seem your always hungry😉🙏💕farmers are great (you might even be able to freeze them and nuculate them in a microwave) and thats all i have to say about that...
Wow! Jim Stafford. Classics such as "WIldwood Flower" and "Swamp Witch." Stay off the track to Hattie's shack, in the back of the Black Bayou... Good stuff, almost as old as that non-airtight bin. ;) Good luck with harvest, may you have enough to keep going for another year.
Well after a few cherry bombs, or m-80s, or quarter stick of dynamite do shake the grain off the walls the airtight scenes scenes like you so a seam in a skirt, were well tested! Sorry about that Outburst in there trying to teach this little dude from Bangladesh how to translate English into print. Most have never heard of a airtight theme seem. I give up!
That Deere is a shiney beast. I grew up with Deere equipment starting in the early 1940's on a New Hampshire dairy farm and loved the sound from those old "put-put" JD's... PS: I'm 77 and farming from my armchair watching you do the work.
You have me beat by 7 years. My dad had a John Deere d, and a John Deere he called the general purpose GP with the tricycle front end. We did most of our farming with that because most of the attachments fit on it, like three bottom plow , & the four row corn cultivator. Those two lunger pop-in Johnny's would dig those back wheels down to the drawbar and keep on chugging. My dad and the neighbor overhauled it many times.
@@earlhollar1906 I can't remember the models anymore but remember all the levers and controls and the sound I'll never forget. I do remember the tricycle front end. My grandfather also had a sawmill and timberland where the biggest thrill for me was when he showed me how to start one of the stationary diesels at the mill. If OSHA were around in those days, nothing would have ever got done. ~~~~ PS: my very early days were with my grandfather, because my father and uncle were in WWII.
Hi Cole a word of advice when you turn to to do something, don’t turn on your knee, made a complete body turn it’s easier on your knee. Hope your harvest is more productive than expected. Harsh without rain, praying you get a downpour soon.
Thanks for the great video. Was most interesting and enjoyable. The sprayer you have on tractor for spraying the herd works really well. Seems to cover them well for flys and whatever, has good coverage. Works well with Dad doing the herding. Good teamwork you two. Nice to see dad and son working together like that!!!!! The ear of corn you picked looks pretty good for level of production. Hope you have the 120 bushel an acre you mentioned depending on the weather this year. Brian you had good quotes today. Cole it is Jim Stafford not Tom. He is too young to know. stafford had good music. Funny about Cole asking about Lawrence welk. That was a Saturday night must watch in my grandmothers house and my folks. Hang in there Cole, just giving you a bad time. The power washer and soap you are using does great. The combine and tractor you did look great with that soap and wax. Good job Cole. Super glad the store is open and going. Good deal. Am sure it will do great given some time to operate. Just takes time to get going. Thanks for the store update. About it for now. You all take care and be safe. Cole, be careful what you eat. Might tear you stomach up those spicy meat sticks. Oh well. Thanks. Be looking for the next video. The Iowa farm boy from years ago. Forgot something. Appreciate the way you take care of you cow herd. Good herdsmen. Good farmers. Good people. Thanks.
Gee Cole.... even I know who Lawrence Welk is ! We learned about him in public school. He was the guy that shot Abe Lincoln with the AR-15 during the Super Bowl. I did a term paper on it . As you recall, that's what started World War 2 when we went to war against Canada and New Mexico. We have a memorial wall at the Elks Club for all the guys we lost during that war. They weren't killed.... apparently, the guys drank a LOT back then and they just wandered off and got lost.
The Lawrence Welk reference reminded me of the time a millennial asked me what a Church Key was, and I thought I had done a pretty good job of explaining the function until she asked me why we didn't just use the pull tab.
Spray WD40 on those rock chips to soften the the tar and after they come off just spray some more and rub the rest off. Always enjoy you and your dad comments keep them coming.
Another great video. I'm surprised that Cole hadn't heard of the great Jim Stafford. We saw him perform in Branson, MO. He was fantastic! I was singing Spiders and Snakes with Brian. We had our motorhome and dinghy covered in that gravel and tar mixture. Not fun to get off your vehicle.
You need to do another walk through of the store, show us the products and how it's coming along. A lot of us that watch your channel want to see. Got to keep us updated Cole.😁
Brian I think you may have be in your 50's to rember Lawrence Welk. However, being 79 Ican certainly rember him and his "Wunnerful, Wunnerful" music & show 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜
Ah Brian. Cole is so young. He doesn't know Jim Stafford? Phenomenal guitarist, musician, comedian. (He needs to watch the video to Cow Patty!) In either case, us grandkids were relegated to the basement to play so we didn't interrupt either! Blessings to y'all from Ohio!
Laughed about Lawrence Welk! That was every weekend for us growing up. He's still on PBS if Cole is curious! P.S. - I love John Deere too! Did you know they even made bikes? My mom and dad had them back in the late 60's - 70's. Even had green and yellow picnic table at the campground. My first JD was the kids' tractor when I was in kindergarten - and I'm a "senior" now.
Dynamite story’s, every one should have one. Mine is an ANFO (farmers dynamite, fertiliser dynamite) story. Uncle had a Cypress tree stump he couldn’t remove. Stump grinder motor seized. Hey just an idea for y’all watched another TH-camr they were using a blower to push the stuff behind the sweep and it worked to push it around. Just an idea
The random 👍 from Brian coming into view of the camera cracks me up.
It was Lawrence Welk and then Hee Haw every Saturday night at Grandma and Grandpa's
Jim Stanford and Lawrence Welk in one episode…whooooeeeee!
Thanks Cole & Brian , it was great to wake up on a Saturday and watch your video while sipping coffee . We Love you guys !
never farmed a day in my 63 year old life... but I love watching your family do it. Thank you.
This dialogue between Cole & Brian was hilarious.

Congratulations on your engagement!! Nice ring! I always enjoy when Brian has the camera. He is so good at describing what he’s doing and why.
Cole - listen to some good music 70’s music. My favorite. I love the 👍🏻 just randomly showing up. You guys are a good team.

“Did he go to the dynamite store”. 😂. Best line on TH-cam ever.
70 years ago, you used to just get it at the hardware store like anything else.
@@joelbovaird5152 and you stored it on the farm in an insulated Shack that looked a small Smokehouse or outhouse with a big lock on the door
You could order it from Sears years ago. It only got restricted in the 60's
Have a good day
And as ol Jim would say ( sitting on that sack of seed ) 😁 Flintstone

Lol. I don't know why, but a dog taking a dump always cracks me up.
Lawrence Welk - Family fun from 100 to 1! 😂😂😂
Some farmers are using salt blocks with garlic and minerals that come from somewhere out in Iowa. Farming is hard work but rewarding.
Keeping ahead of the 'needing' is the best way. When time is precious, it is NOT the time to fix things.
