Would love to see some videos of you playing matches with the more creative or niche weapons and equipment. Like the grenade launcher, the 1887, goo gun, shield, the throwing knives. I always go grapple. I play light in a way where I get the money and I can grapple to a deposit in no time. If you’re in a gun fight on a skyscraper you can jump off into the void tricking the player and grapple back up to surprise them. Works every time.
Dash with shotgun is also amazing.
Invisibility with throwing knifes is actually pretty good too
my main build would have to be: cloaking device, xp54, stun gun, glitch grenade and the vanishing bomb. the vanishing bomb mainly to escape while the device is recarging or if an teammate needs to be invisible for a bit. side note: imagine you shoot an invisible enemy thinking its a light, but its actually a heavy with a rpg.
I play light but I joined a party with my friends today and did my first tournament with a heavy we had a balanced team. Ended up winning the tournament. Man it felt like I was a kid again everyone yelled “let’s go!”

I wanna try Light for the movement potential and heavy so I can do what my heavies do not, which is create new entry points/disoriente team fights and/or shield when appropriate but i cant find it in me to leave behind my Medium class. Recon - Defib - Jumpad.
Seen some lights really pop off in some games tho'
I love evasive dash, vanish bomb to get that cloak ability, stun gun, glitch with the shotty. I feel like you get the most out of the light abilities with that. also the xp is amazing feels a lot like a mix of r99 and r301. love seeing all the apex gamers playing this game their skill transfers very well over
I like running pyro to deal with gas on cashout and smoke to take care of the pyro so that I can start stealing said cashout faster. The third I switch frequently depending on the scenario
The finals is fun but I use a small body and the grappling hook since it’s fun
I like rolling with the sword and evasive dash

New to the game! Trying to get good and not play like I do in cod, is the mp5 good? Like I feel like I don’t get kills with it
dash and saber is a dope combo if you know how to flank and pick your fights i got like twelve kills last game with the dash sword build

Whish sword was a two tap had some fun using the lunge for an extra bit of mobility but in the end evrything shreds it :(
I main light and my fav is m11 with the invisible grenade fire bomb and the breach with grap I win almost every match with most kills obj and most dps

I think the "shimmer" effect should maybe be exaggerated on non-moving contestants. The only issue I have with cloak are those that "camp" under stairwells or behind doors with the double shotty. When I use cloak, I'm constantly moving. I use it to enter and exit fights. Not to camp corners.

invisibility doesnt bother me at all. It's shitty actually when you have proper eyes. you can still see perfectly the shape.
Gotta say if you’re a solid light player I feel like the sawed off is the intended playstyle with invis. For whatever reason using invis just to challenge with mp5 feels weird sometimes. It’s great don’t get me wrong I dropped 35-4 with it but shotty seems more useful as a 150 hp invis user.
The pistol is still my fav since beta
I run evasive dash or grapple with a vanish nade stun gun and goo…. Shotty and/or v95
I feel like invis should get a cooldown after taking damage? That will probably be nerfed...

V9S is a skill gun if you hit shots and can still shoot it fast its best dps
I love to play the "counter as mutch as possible" playstile.
I use Dash and throwing Knives just because I like them.
As gadgets I use
fire granade (to protect the cash/ destroy Gas and Goo)
Thermal Vision (to counter Invis/ Camping/ Smoke and bad view like in Buildings.
EMP ( To counter Shields/ Turrets and Healing)
Its just the way I like to play. In most games I dont really use stuff that gives me advantage but takes them away from enemies.
Edit: If I had to change something I would take out the fire granade for the Goo one.
Its a good escape tool and thrown right can seperate Heavy from Healer so I can pick them off.

I use throwing knifes, glich g, thermal vision and Dash. Won 7tournament in arow. I love The build. But they nees to Buff throwing knifes protectile speed. So hard to hit moving targets.
You know what’s worse then a light and a heavy using the shotguns? A team of 3 heavies, using both types of shields, all using the auto shottie and are stacked up in a party. THAT is what I had to fight, bout tore my hair out.
LH1 is the best gun if you can control it

I know you are a good player, but I encounter similair situations but I almost everytime get one tapped. I feel like light classes are Just too squishy to Engage in a fight. For me its only viable when I enter unnoticed or from behind.

Imo invis should be more punishing if you abuse it. Being able to go in and out so quickly should limit it's total use. Maybe each time you activate and deactivate (or shoot while invis) it used a little chunk of your total duration. It would incentivise you to be invis for longer, and not just able to flip it on and off essentially always having it available for use. If you want to use it that rapidly, it should use up quicker than just activating it and running for a longer time.
Invisible don’t do nth to controller players cause of lock on
Play on controller and you basically can't miss with the shotgun lol
They have to reducie resp time to minimum 10s instead 20s and buff xp
buff xp for sure but maybe not the resp time that would discourage smart pushes
