Was listening to a podcast and they were talking about the vewing figures right across youtube are down. And the main reason for it is because of the amount of adverts we are forced to watch everytime we watch a video. Gone from a quick 15 second ad to 3 minutes worth during a half hour video. People are pissed off with it and aren't viewing the same amount.
@@leegraham3875 I've been using an ad blocker for a long time that google actually encourage but even that is now getting adverts on it. But also there is so many vloggers around now .
Hi Dan, we recently sold our touring caravan for a number of reasons, but predominantly because of what I call static costs, the cost of ownership before you have even moved the thing. 1) Servicing - the cost of servicing has been creeping up over the years (I live near you so you know the dealer), you need to have the service stamp to maintain the water ingress warranty etc. 2) Insurance- in my opinion this really is money for old rope, never had a claim but the costs kept rising and rising. It cost me more to insure my touring caravan (parked on the drive) than my Campervan (I assume storage costs have risen too). The Caravan industry is a mess, it is run by the dealerships, a classic case of the tail wagging the dog. The quality (fit and finish) of new touring caravans is extremely poor and the cost is high. The cost of a pitch is high, especially Club Sites. The C&MC are just cashing in, their price structure is a con. The “Club” is not run for members but as a profit driven greedy company. Anyway rant over 😂
Well said, I think we're going to see a massive collapse within the leisure industry. Caravaning used to be a cheap holiday, I used to go away once or twice or month but prices have gone up so much now that its so prohibitive. Such a shame.
I agree they are out pricing themselves. You used to be able to pay for your pitch which included electrics which was good. Now you pay per person then you have to pay on top for awning then if you take dogs it's per dog. It's getting ridiculous. 😕
We recently went to hoddom Castle in Scotland lovely site, electricity is metered we put £20 on stayed 6 nights and used £6 worth so got £14 back.just goes to show you don't need to rip people off with that for a start.
Nooooooo!!!!!!! I am 73 and do not get much chance to go on holiday and therefore love coming away with you and sharing, through the videos you upload, your holidays and travels. Hopefully, you will reconsider one day as I am sure many like me get a great deal of pleasure from watching your channel.
I must admit. The tips and tricks and projects brought me here. I don’t watch many holiday vlogs, maybe a couple each month. I just fitted a home made fan kit to my Series 10 fridge using your inspiration. Our first trip with it this weekend, it tested well with the frezer dropping to -20. I’m looking forward to the GSM/4G battery level monitor. You also gave me the confidence to fit Alde battery backup, now I don’t need to set the date/time and schedule every trip. Your channel has provided me great value
Hi Dan. I originally subscribed as a brand new caravan owner. Your videos were an absolute god send and helped me enormously. As I got more confident towing and mastered setting up, your videos became project guides or reminders, helped me look at new accessories etc. However, and this is me being honest, I haven't watched one of your videos all the way through for quite some time (except for an old one I may refer back to) and my reasons are this... (A) The products you were promoting were either out of my budget or not really useful to me (you can't please everyone) (B) As you mention, the holiday vids were not my cup of tea (for the record I wouldn't watch anyone's holiday videos!) I think your holiday should be when you down tools and relax, not worry about putting out content. I hope you can see I'm being honest and not at all slighting the channel. It has, and always will be, extremely useful to lots of people just like me. A comparison I would make is this... I was watching a guy repair/clean battered cars and gradually his range of car got more and more new and for me, less interesting. I wish he had just stuck to the formula that worked. Wishing you all the very best. A long time subscriber.
Phew - you had me worried for a moment... maybe a 'Trudgians on Tour' channel ? Always good to see you videos and indeed, the back-catalogue of content.
Hi Dan & Angela, you mention the viewing figures being low, this has been mentioned previously by other TH-camrs, TH-cam had not been sending out notification and in some cases, unsubscribed subscribers without them knowing, it’s all about money, the less views etc, the less they have to pay you, it’s certainly worth looking into this as the majority of people do want to see your trips. We certainly do, maybe put out a poll as you will then see how many people are receiving notifications etc etc?
That’s interesting you should say that. I have just checked and I have been unsubscribed without my knowledge from this channel. This is now the third channel it has happened to and I noticed it also removed my ‘Likes’ from videos I have watched. If You Tube admin have purposely done this, I will definitely not be falling for their bombardment of offers to go Premium.
That makes no sense. The less views, the less that TH-cam makes in advertisement revenue. More likely this category of video isn't trending as much as it used too, or maybe there's just a lot more caravan and van life channels out there nowadays.
Funny you should say that Mike as I had subscribed and wasn’t getting anything at all from the Trudgians. I love to join them on holiday too as people reviewing campsites tend to mention whether the toilets are clean and the wardens friendly. Their videos give you ideas and recommendations of where to go, what to do and places to see. Brilliant. I certainly hope they decide to do it again soon. I have subscribed again incase utube had cancelled me off their records.
Hi Dan, I too think that YB are working against you by unsubscribing people. I too have had to join your list and I have been noticing lately that I'm not getting notifications of new vids that you are obviously working hard to create. I'm sure there is a problem in the industry at the moment but your part in the industry does not need the Big Boy working against you!
I am another subscriber that seems to have been unsubscribed! So no notifications either. This comment lead me to check other channels I follow and guess what.. more unsubscribed channels and the realisation that I haven't been getting notifications from many for a long while now. I would also join in saying the amount of adverts is stopping me from watching so much, even though I pay £20 p/m youtube subscription. Dan, you and Angela have been a great help and inspiration to me as I got into caravanning, really helpful advice on all areas. Please enjoy having a break, but, as mentioned by many, please come back and keep us upto date.
I love all of your videos. The informative ones, I go back to when I need to, but I look forward to the Holiday ones because it gives me inspiration as to what sites to go to. Please don’t stop
Hi Guys. As a new caravan owner 6 years ago, your videos were invaluable. I still back go over them when I need to. Thank you so much for your help. All the best for the future.
Hi, Dan, so sorry to see the disappointment in your demeanour in this one. As someone who has been caravanning for longer than you have by far, I can say I still enjoy all your videos immensely. I'm pretty sure that the falling viewing numbers are not just related to the holiday videos but reflect a much more general malaise afflicting the industry at the moment. It's easy to blame the pandemic for a lot of those issues but in my opinion that is a red herring. The industry has never been truly customer focused and the pandemic merely had the effect of further reducing service levels whilst an easy opportunity to increase margins was grabbed with both hands. This holds for all parts of the industry from manufacturers through the clubs and associations, site owners and the dealers (who, I guess, had little choice but to follow suit). The whole debacle has been so baldly managed we now have a huge oversupply problem as customers leave in droves. It's easy to get a new customers when the pickings are easy but it should have been patently obvious that to keep them long term you needed to make sure they were happy customers long term!
I love watching your videos. You have been our go to channel since we started caravanning. It’s a real shame as I really enjoyed watching your holiday videos as well as your how to videos. 😔
Hi Dan, I have to fully agree with you, it seems than every vlogger is doing site reviews. Personally I find them a bit boring (obviously that's my opinion) a lot of vloggers also spend a 3rd of the vlog showing them driving, mile after mile, again just not my thing. What I have most enjoyed on your channel is when you are demonstrating practical items such as changing the reading lights to one's with USB ports and many other easy DIY projects that have saved me and no doubt many others several £££. As said others may disagree but that's my honest opinion. Dan what ever happens stay safe and best wishes to you all.
Really sorry to hear you are stopping your videos I for one really appreciate your effort and you have given me and my wife lots of information on some of the best campsites thank very much and I hope your father's ok 👍
I have absolutely loved seeing where you go and your experiences. I have personally learned so much from your videos and thoroughly enjoyed them all, whether it’s a holiday vid or instructional video. Whatever you choose to do or broadcast I know it will be of interest to me. Thank you for what you have shared so far, and look forward to whatever you want to share.
I enjoy watching your videos, especially those that demonstrate "How to do" something or give me an insight of a site or an area for a possible future visit. I watch your "holiday" videos, but its the "How to do"'s that I watch over and again. Keep up the good work.
Hi Dan & Angela, I don’t think it’s just holiday videos which is the problem, I think there’s something else going of just what I can’t put my finger on at this time. We’ve just come back from 2 weeks on a CAMC club site in Yorkshire and I’ve never seen that site with so few caravan s or motorhomes on it and it’s a site we’ve used for over 25yrs, just as an example in March of 2018 when the so called beast from the east hit there were more units onsite and I even had people asking me if it’s always so quiet. On one occasion a couple approached asking if I felt there was something missing as the usual friendliness had disappeared where you could almost knock someone over and still not get a smile, good morning/afternoon from them, as of yesterday I’ve been doing this for 52yrs passing my driving test on my 17th birthday and getting caravan within 45minutes and I’ve never been without one and will continue until I drop. Thank you for your output we’ve found them both useful and interesting. Good luck to you all.
We came back to caravaning beginning of last year after having a 13 0:54 years break. We have noticed that people are not as friendly as in the past, our thoughts is that sites that are fully service ,people are not going to fill there water up and chatting to others, people are wanting to be more private now.
Hi Dan. Your holiday videos are interesting and entertaining as are your help videos. I think there is a place for both so if I have a vote I vote for both. Keep up the excellent work mate.
100% agree with you on this one. Service pitches I say are for lazy people who can't be bothered to go and get the Aqua Roll filled up and empty the Wastemaster just like ladies who don't empty the Toilet Cassette I do them all and enjoy doing it as it's part of the Caravanning holiday
We mainly only use CL sites now and I think there is still friendliness on these small 5 van sites. The cost of fuel and the ever rising site fees mean it is no longer a cheap holiday. I agree Club sites are no where as busy and we have been CAMC members for 36 years, certainly there has been a change.
Hi Dan, as relative newbies, your instructional videos have been such a blessing when things have gone awry! Your holiday videos are good because we can see more sites that we would like to go to in detail. Thank you gor all your hard work. Hope your Dad is recovering, and keep up the good work
Hi Dan keep going mate. I got back into caravaning 3 years ago and your videos helped me so many times. Caravaning is on a diwn slope at the moment but im sure it will start to pick up again. Your holiday videos are brill and i have enjoyed them so much. Dont give up keep going. Cheers from a very thankful wobble box traveler
As a newcomer to owning a caravan in 2021 your collection of instructional videos proved to be a great learning curve for a beginner. So thanks for those.
I never would have learned everything I know now about caravanning without your videos. I literally watched hours and hours. The holiday videos I don't want so much because I'm in Northern Ireland so it'll be rare that I get to go to the places you go. But I do love the content when I do watch them
You are my go to caravan channel from tyre pressure to nose weight , Wi-Fi. Loved your videos! Do what makes you happy ! thanks for all your advice I’d have been lost without you ! Your holiday videos are so informative & give a real insight to where you go & what’s on offer in that area ! Take care & enjoy your beautiful caravan
Dont panic too much, there will be site arrivals / Site reviews and fun stuff, just no Holiday videos for the foreseeable future. (I think we over did it)
Very sad to hear this. I really enjoy all your content wether that being your own personal holidays or the very helpful hints and tips videos you do.....of which has come in very handy on more than 1 occasions! I always look forward to watching new stuff from you and will keep on Looking forward to it.
You may well be right regarding people not really interested in your holiday but most people are interested in the caravan sites. More videos of the sites please.
I’ve only just started watching as I’m an older first time owner and I find your advice so helpful. Haven’t watched any of your holiday ones yet. I’ll try and catch up and let you know what I think!
I know you have to do what you’ve got too but I’d like to share this with you Dan, your vlog on the brecons got me to go to the CAMC site, and while there look for waterfalls! Not only this but your videos on diy in a caravan-DAB radio install, WiFi, solar, to name a few have inspired me to ‘give it a go’. Yours is my go to channel Dan and I thank you for it.
We stopped caravanning a while ago for three reasons; poor manufacturing standards of modern caravans and the lack of manufacturers honouring blatant warranty issues. Fuel prices and the ridiculous hike in pitch fees. And finally, the roads; the amount of damage caused to our van by poor road surfaces was getting a bit much until finally our microwave oven was knocked out of its mountings smashing itself and other items in the van. (Thirty years vanning).
Hi Dan. We started caravanning in 2019 just before covid. Your videos have been a massive help to us and given us the information to travel safely, feeling well informed. I've watched some of your holiday videos but not many. I completely understand that you enjoy making those probably the most. I dont watch holiday videos because I want to go somewhere and be surprised and for it to be an adventure. It just doesn't feel the same if I've been there virtually first
We have been watching your videos for the past 6 years since we first started caravaning. You had a Lunar, we have a lunar Clubman. Your how to do videos are extremely helpful, I updated the heating control panel after watching you, plus other stuff. I have to be honest and say that I don’t watch your holiday videos. So I’m partial to blame for the lack of figures. Please keep making the repairs and updating videos. Thank you for all your efforts. John & Wendy in South Devon.
Very sad - I enjoyed your videos with technical helps and tips, finding them very useful, covering stuff which is not available readily available elsewhere. I hope you will be able to continue them even if your holiday videos aren't.
You were the go to for any advice when we started our own caravan adventures 6 years ago please keep it going as always very informative and interesting
i have learnt so much from your videos, dont ever stop them. i have not watched your holiday ones as i consider them to be private, and i would be intruding on your private lives, keep up the good work.
Hello. I have not commented on your video's much and so for obvious reasons wouldn't expect much sway in what I am about to say. The videos of your dad should be for you. Please please please record them but record them and keep them for your family. You are at the same stage in life as I am and seems you still watch your father in awe as I do with mine. My parents are epic in many ways that I am sure yours are too. Keep that for you and your kids. What you do best is infovids on how to solve X problem, or what you do when y happens. Yes I enjoy your videos on when you go away but you need to find the divide between what is self content and what is for everyone else. I have learned an immense amount from you and it's all stuff that the dealership don't tell you. Crack on mate but keep the important bits for you. Best wishes to you and your family. 😊
Hi Dan and Angela. I first came across your channel back in 2017 when we were thinking about getting our first touring caravan. Cannot begin to tell you how much you helped us back then and to this day continue to help us. I’ve remained an avid watcher of your videos and always love watching your holiday vlogs in particular. Still remember watching your Devon 2016 holiday vlogs for the first time! Whilst I understand you’re reasons for making this decision, I’m gutted we’re not going to get to watch your experiences and adventures. I certainly hope that one day in the future we may get to see them again. Hope your dad is ok and getting better. Best wishes to you all
I've just given up touring 😢. The outrageous costs are getting out of hand. But we decided to buy a static a year old, and it's still less than a swift top end caravan.
Sorry to hear that. I must tell you how you helped us out with a seized toilet pump. We were just starting our stay and we followed your instructions to to the letter and it worked, so thank you for that. Hope you enjoy all your future touring>
Good evening Im new hear and i have watched about 2 or 3 of ur vlogs so far and im really enjoying it I wood love to watch some more if u put some out of ur holidays etc We have been doing caravanning 4 about 40 years on and off and we love it so thank u Now im going to like and subscribe to ur vlogs and also my hubby is going to subscribe as well Love u guys💜💚❤️💙
The holiday with Chloe you showed a picture of, was that at Cotswolds view?? It certainly looks like it was. We visited there twice this year and absolutely loved it. Hope you had a nice time
Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he's recovering OK. Good to see you looking well. TH-cam is facing a general content fatigue lately. Lockdown was a great time for discovering creators. I found you in 2020 when I bought my first caravan and learned so much. Post-pandemic, it seems more people are out there doing it rather than watching it. Thanks to you, I’ve gone from a newbie to prepping for our second family trip in Belgium next week, having toured much of the UK. With zero prior experience and nobody to guide me, I’d have been utterly clueless without this channel. I'll keep up with your holidays on Instagram stories and reels-it’s perfect for bite-sized updates. You’ll always be the go-to for caravan tips and tricks, delivered in your likable, natural style. A rare gift you can be be extremely proud of.
Found the channel when me and my family were thinking about a touring caravan, after a lot of crunching the numbers I really don't see how having a big family caravan makes sense, bug tow car, 25mpg max at £1.50 a litre for diesel, 20k upwards for the caravan, and then coupled to some quite frankly outrageous prices for a pitch. For us and I suspect many others a cottage both in the UK or abroad or hotels give both way better value and far less hassle in respect to breakages with either the caravan or tow vehicle, and also depreciation factoring into the overall cost of the holidays. It's an idea we liked the sound of but simply way too much money for what it is.
Dan, I've loved your tip/tricks videos. I've even made a few items - grey waste pipe, cable tidy , to name a couple. When it comes to your holidays I feel I'm intruding. Although always informative the ones coming to mind are Morn Hill and the Brecon Beacons, although great, I still feel like I'm a fly on the wall . Whatever path you go please take us with you in one form or another. ( Thank Goodness you aren't stopping all together !! )
Hi Dan, that’s a real shame, me and the wife love watching yours and all the other main guys, week in week out. As a tight Yorkshire man, the bit I like the most is watching your holiday vids as it gives us ideas of places where to visit without having to take chances, and being that your down south it’s ideal for that for us. Hope you have a change of heart but no pressure 😅, keep up the good work best wishes to you and the family Tom
Hi Dan, firstly thank you for all the time and effort you put in to releasing content. I took the plunge a bought a caravan about 5 years ago because both the wife and i are getting too old to be messing about with tents! I found your content a great help when first starting out and so much of your content put me on the right track and saved embarrassing fails at campsites. Personally, i am not overly interested in what you did on your holiday and i agree with some of the other comments that it is your holiday and you should be relaxing. What i do find interesting though is a review of the site you are staying at and the costs for that site. I also subscribe to caravantastic, mainly because Dave and Helen are local to my area, but they do a lot of site reviews and whats on in the area. Yes this is still holiday based content, but just sold in a slightly different way and based more on what is available rather than "What we did on Holiday". Hopefully you will still continue to post other content, keep up the good work, and at the end of the day it's the viewers choice, if they don't like it, they don't have to watch it. p.s. yes the adverts are getting a real pain, i used to pay a monthly fee to avoid the adverts but with the cost of everything else i now have to trawl through the adverts which does become really annoying.
Dan. I actually like to watch peoples holiday vlogs during the off season, it gives me something to cling onto from summer trips, especially on a cold wet Saturday afternoon.
Your channel Dan has helped me do countless things on my caravan which if were done by service people would have cost me thousands of pounds you’re TH-cam efforts are appreciated
Hi Dan, sorry for being late to the party on this. Routine is different over the summer. Completely respect your decision to slow down on the holiday content. I really enjoy these and get something from them, but I'm sure we'll see some again when trends change again. I also always go to you first for tips on anything that can improve or repair our caravan. BTW, can't remember when you were going to visit Lady Margaret's Park? We went there for August Bank Holiday and it was wonderful. Happy to share some ideas for that. Anyway, keep up the good work and I hope you all stay well.
We are new to caravanning this last couple of months. Your vids have helped us no end. My advice is create a second channel that you are not so worried about but for when you want to do a video on anything really!
Dan, your videos have been instrumental for my 13 years caravanning. Sadly though, I’ve just given it all up. It’s just too much hassle and too expensive. I feel very lucky to have had some fantastic years doing it, but it just doesn’t add up for me anymore. Perhaps viewing figures are down because people don’t want to see what they aren’t able to do anymore. That’s certainly the case for me. I can’t thank you enough for your MASSIVE contribution and help you’ve given. Best wishes to you and your family.
Well I for one will miss the videos, Always enjoy your content, I've actually learned an awful lot from your videos since I got my caravan in 2020 and some of the things you show on your holiday videos give me ideas for my family trips.
Sadly for us, this is probably our last season. The bubble has burst for us . Its down to value for money. Having had a caravan for 4 years, even with hints and tips it is time to move on . Thanks for your content and help .but that sums it up for me personally.
Thanks for you candid thoughts Dan. We have owned several caravans since '97 but can still learn new things Will keep watching for any vlogs you put out but for now have a great time making memories with Angela and your wider family and relax!!
Funny you should post such a video - not 3 days ago I sold my caravan - in fact it was the very same Lunar Clubman that you used to own and feature on this channel! I don't see caravanning in my foreseeable future for various reasons, but cheers for the content. It was certainly very helpful as a brand new caravan owner - particularly the one about the fridge not cooling very well in summer, and how to improve airflow to fix it!
Hi Dan. I really enjoy watching your videos both the fixing things type and your holidays. Infact after watching your last holiday one I thought you seemed happier and more chilled than on previous vids. Please keep sharing as I love to see what you get up to as I think we’ve been caravanning for a similar amount of time. All the best
Dan, First and foremost we hope and pray that your Dad is making a good recovery to his health. Secondly, please be assured that all your hard work and effort is so very much appreciated and valued. The majority on here watch because we like to be a part of your 'journey' whether it be with projects on the van or as you say your holidays. Whatever you decide is the right way forward you must put you and your family first please. Thank you as always for your service. Best wishes - David & Rachel (Colchester) ❤
I honestly think it's the bad weather. A lot of people new to caranning have decided to go abroad instead. That's why the market is flooded with used caravans. Keep up with the videos.
Hey Dan, love your videos, look forward to new ideas and locations. But above all, your videos have given me the confidence to enjoy caravanning. Been doing it for 3 years (previously 8 years tenting) and have learnt a lot from your channel. Even more so recently from watching your adventures encouraged to go for an 8 foot wide unit when we upgraded. It’s a shame not to see that content, but looking forward to other videos you post. As others have said, it may be down to TH-cam not wanting to pay out so much.
Hi Dan: First you mentioned a caravan company going into administration. I bought my caravan from Robinsons, now in administration. I was quite lucky that I had my caravan but was waiting for some work to be undertaken through Bailey. Talking about holiday vlogs, I tend to search for a site and then watch a vlog before I book. Your vlogs on 'How To Do' are invaluable. Watch them religiously. The problem is that there are so many vloggers out there vlogging about their holidays that they are the same old, same old. Hope this helps.
We like all your videos, including your holidays, we use these as either a preview of a campsite we might like to go to and what’s around the area. As newbie’s the very informative how to videos have been helpful and appreciated. Sometimes there are things we are not particularly interested in changing or improving but that’s the same with most things, it’s a personal preference. Thank you both ❤
Hi Dan & Angela, yr holiday vids are by far the best vids for me. So kind of you to share what you do & I've loved watching you & Ang have lovely holiday time. Thanks for all you've done
Dan, your channel is great, very informative about issues with a van, improvements and upkeep. Your trips away also give advise on sites/places to visit. keep doing all of it. I recently changed my charge controller and blew the fuse, it was very hard to locate but am very pleased with the improved solar charging, thank you.
I really love all your videos. They have helped SO many times! I’ve also enjoyed the holiday ones but totally understand why you have to review your stance on that. You are a brilliant presenter which makes such a difference with quality of film and sound edit. Enjoy every moment of your summer tours.
Hi Dan, long term follower and I have said to you before that you guys helped us on our journey into caravanning. Your Buxton video was the one that did it…and we did a similar visit, years ago. Trust your gut, you always have…good to reflect, but also be honest to what you want to do. Best wishes to you all
It's been great watching your content, you have been out go to channel for 6 years now since we started touring. I still go back to past content to keep me correct.
I've been watching your videos for a long time, even before we purchased our first caravan in 2018. I have watched more of your tech posts as that's more my kind of thing. But I will say you have really helped me on our journy into caravan life, I've taken your advice and it's been really helpful. I must say, I'm looking forward to your trip to the Broadway site. Keep up the good work and thank you.
Sorry to hear this Dan, I've been following you since we got our caravan 7 years ago. There is alot of competition on holiday vlogs but please carry on with your technical videos as you have always been my first port of call and I always recommend you on social media if someone asks a question on a subject you have covered. Enjoy your holibobs.
Hi, your channel is always my go to channel for repairing or updating items on my caravan. Everything is explained in detail that anyone could do any upgrades etc. Please hang in there.
I love the technical videos, they have been extremely useful to me, even though I have been a caravaner for almost 30 years. I have watched the occasional tour video, but have stopped being a CAMC member due to their pricing and the car park appearance of many of their sites. Do what makes you happy & thanks for the invaluable technical content.
Really sorry to hear about your dad. We've followed your journeys and tips for the last two years and loved it. Love seeing your family grow up as ours are too. Keep up with what you enjoy and what gives you energy.
Hi, I find your “how to” videos brilliant. I’ve just removed, cleaned and refitted our MDK roof lights on our Sterling Eccles Sport. Without your videos we wouldn’t have known how. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 One change to your video is the screw holding the 2 layers together were, on ours, T27 torx and not Philips screws. In the past, nobody wanted to see holiday photos when you return. I suspect the same mentality for holiday videos still exists. Short clips maybe like on IG as you mentioned or a still of a fantastic sunset/sunrise or castle/monument maybe gets a look but…don’t take it personally. Sorry to hear of the accident - I wish for a speedy recovery.
Sad to hear this, I’m a newbie at caravanning, and your name was regularly mentioned when I needed help with stuff. Your videos were brilliant and extremely helpful. I’ve not seen many of your holiday videos, not sure why because I subscribed ! Hopefully after a break you will be back, I’ll definitely be looking for you again.
That’s a shame we love watching you as you’ve given us ideas where to go however we love your other content too. We missed seeing you by a few minutes at Swindon caravans whilst on holiday a few weeks ago, devastated! Take care both
We have enjoyed watching your videos and learned a lot from them when we came back to caravaning after 13years away for it. Have a lovely summer and hope you come back sometime. Happy Caravaning
Hi Dan, just want to say I totally respect your decision, but would also like to let you know how amazing your content has been for my family over the years. We only started touring in 2020, but because of your videos, both tips and holiday videos, I feel I am now a pretty competent caravan owner, obviously everyday is a school day and I know the learning will never stop, but thanks to you, I am confident, so thanks. Also, we have just returned from France, and during that trip we secured our outdoor awning lights with the little black crocodile clips you used and showed us on one of your recent holiday videos, and my wife even said out loud, ‘Thanks Dan, Legend’ so please know that whilst I understand your reasons, the quality of your content is invaluable and helps lots of people in ways you probably don’t realise 👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you.
Love the videos been following for a while and although we used to live in vans since we had children 8 years ago we gave it up so they had a home. We've just this year bought our first family tourer and absolutely loving this side of caravanning
Have just rejoined for the 3rd time. What is TH-cam doing. Love your videos. Followed all your hints when we bought our first caravan found them a great help. Loved watching your family grow and watching your holiday blogs.
Hi Dan, Mel and my wife have been following you and Mrs T for the passed 5 years, we both check in to see if you have uploaded any new videos of your holiday and I can say we throughly enjoy watching, where you are and what you do. If you stop showing them it will be a big loss to all. I think you should keep showing us, from hints and tips to how to as well as your great trips/holidays away in your caravan . You inspire me thanks. S&S
Hi Dan I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your channel and the content is amazing from the basics to caravanning to helping us solve the problematic jobs we feel are too hard for us. I really enjoy seeing the different sites and locations on your holiday. Sorry to hear your dad has had an accident hope you’re bearing up and thanks for all the uploads and hope to see you back uploading at some point take care pal.
Dont despair your content is of the highest quality. Its nothing you have done. There are so many content providers vying for the same space some really good others not so. When you started out you would have snapped my hand off for as many views and subs you have. Keep going people enjoy what you do whether on a site or just tinkering. I only started last year but watched so much of your vids i felt like i knew what i was doing before taking the van on its first trip.
Hi Dan and Angela, please don’t stop, we enjoy your videos so much, in fact you helped us enormously when we decided to buy our first caravan back in 2019, without you guys I’m not sure we would have. We are now the proud owners of our 2nd caravan, a Unicorn S5 Vigo and still to this day look at every video you bring out and look back at some for valuable tips. We love all of them and especially now we’re sort of seasoned caravanners look forward to your personal trips away. Forever faithful Angie and Dean ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Dan. Thank you for all your caravanning for complete beginner videos. Myself, partner and 2 year old son bought our caravan last year and without your videos, I’d never had had the confidence or knowledge to set off on our trips. I send my best wishes to you and your family, especially your father. All the best, Richie
Thats is such a shame, I loved your holiday videos. It helps us between going on our holidays. I look forward to whatever you decide to video. Enjoy your upcoming holidays anyway and we look forward to seeing you back with some more holiday videos
To be honest, whilst I enjoy the technical and repairing job type vlogs but I have little interest in watching someone on holiday but at the end of the day you should just do what you enjoy.Best of luck and have a great rest of the summer.
I agree the adverts are so annoying and I’ve started to watch less of TH-cam in general everyone is trying to cash in all the time
Spot on, I’m watching far less TH-cam content these days because there are now so many adverts.
@@adriannind2506 use ABP blocker
Absolutely spot on. My own personal viewing of anything has probably dropped at leat 50% because of adverts.
The cost of running sites has gone up. I run a business so I know first hand.
I couldn't agree more, shite caravans, rip off capital costs and rip off site fees. They deserve all they are getting !
Lie I said in the vid, for the foreseeable future, and I'll "never say never"
Take care
D
I must admit. The tips and tricks and projects brought me here.
I don’t watch many holiday vlogs, maybe a couple each month.
I just fitted a home made fan kit to my Series 10 fridge using your inspiration. Our first trip with it this weekend, it tested well with the frezer dropping to -20.
I’m looking forward to the GSM/4G battery level monitor.
You also gave me the confidence to fit Alde battery backup, now I don’t need to set the date/time and schedule every trip.
Your channel has provided me great value
Yep when you start caravan ing. Look for them 1st
(A) The products you were promoting were either out of my budget or not really useful to me (you can't please everyone)
(B) As you mention, the holiday vids were not my cup of tea (for the record I wouldn't watch anyone's holiday videos!)
I think your holiday should be when you down tools and relax, not worry about putting out content.
Sites are empty because of insane pitch fee’s and poor weather.
I enjoy watching your videos, especially those that demonstrate "How to do" something or give me an insight of a site or an area for a possible future visit.
I watch your "holiday" videos, but its the "How to do"'s that I watch over and again.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much!
@@janetsmith7379don't agree with your opinion you are forgetting age and disabilities
We mainly only use CL sites now and I think there is still friendliness on these small 5 van sites. The cost of fuel and the ever rising site fees mean it is no longer a cheap holiday. I agree Club sites are no where as busy and we have been CAMC members for 36 years, certainly there has been a change.
So sorry to hear. I have learnt so much listening to you.
Hi Dan, as relative newbies, your instructional videos have been such a blessing when things have gone awry!
Your holiday videos are good because we can see more sites that we would like to go to in detail. Thank you gor all your hard work. Hope your Dad is recovering, and keep up the good work
Really enjoy your holiday videos. I learn so much from the way you do the set up etc.
More videos of the sites please.
we have a few of those lined up, and access / how to get there. So stay tuned.
@@TheTrudgians hi Dan love your how to vids .I do all my own repairs and watch your vids to double check how it's done carry on the good work
Wanna know something ironic? This is the first video from you that I've had a notification in 3 years
Me too
Same
I’ve only just started watching as I’m an older first time owner and I find your advice so helpful.
(Thirty years vanning).
really sorry to hear this i for one really enjoy appreciate your input.
Greed is what's killing caravaning
Its killing everything
Its killing everything.
Best wishes for your dad and I hope you enjoy your holidays your vlogs are great and really interesting
Looking forward to your next vlog.
Thanks so much!
I hope you will be able to continue them even if your holiday videos aren't.
we are carrying on, just no holiday vids for the foreseeable future. we have lots planned
You were the go to for any advice when we started our own caravan adventures 6 years ago please keep it going as always very informative and interesting
I'm sorry to hear that you have made the decision to stop publishing your holiday videos, but will look forward to continue to follow you
i have learnt so much from your videos, dont ever stop them. i have not watched your holiday ones as i consider them to be private, and i would be intruding on your private lives, keep up the good work.
Hello both we've been new to caravanning for the last three years and thank you for your helpful advice when we first started 👍👍
Good evening
Im new hear and i have watched about 2 or 3 of ur vlogs so far and im really enjoying it
I wood love to watch some more if u put some out of ur holidays etc
We have been doing caravanning 4 about 40 years on and off and we love it so thank u
Now im going to like and subscribe to ur vlogs and also my hubby is going to subscribe as well
Love u guys💜💚❤️💙
Hi Dan, my wife and I are in our 6th year of caravanning and learnt so much from your videos - I will always be grateful.
You are incredibly kind. Thank you.
Hope you have a change of heart but no pressure 😅, keep up the good work best wishes to you and the family
Tom
Thats so sad thanks so much for ALL your help
We have owned several caravans since '97 but can still learn new things
Will keep watching for any vlogs you put out but for now have a great time making memories with Angela and your wider family and relax!!
Sorry to hear this,my wife and I enjoy watching your holiday videos. Will still be following your videos you put out
I appreciate that
I had stopped getting notifications from TH-cam and others that have mentioned about long ads etc. I have loved all your content, tips and tricks!
You got me into caravanning and you taught me so so much, your my goto love you guys
Best wishes to you all
All the best. Watched all your videos and its helped us enormously.
Oh bye the way, we are going to Cheddar camc site after seeing you holiday video from there.
Also, we have just returned from France, and during that trip we secured our outdoor awning lights with the little black crocodile clips you used and showed us on one of your recent holiday videos, and my wife even said out loud, ‘Thanks Dan, Legend’ so please know that whilst I understand your reasons, the quality of your content is invaluable and helps lots of people in ways you probably don’t realise 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you.
S&S
Hi both
Loved your vids on upgrades and hols you had
Dont give up ..keep up the good work
I love your holiday videos.
Sorry to hear this love your videos all of them ❤
Can’t speak for everyone but love your content always interesting and insightful. Keep doing what you do!
Thank you! Will do!
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Love your videos don’t stop please
