Cool to see NS on the flyover and FGLK down below. The Fall backdrops will really make Himrod come alive! Any room for Morton Salt towers, or Mennonite farm?
Great update! I would look into making your own trees since the super trees can get very expensive very fast and use the money towards other projects and products!
Wire trees are something I've been interested in doing, but really more for a "feature tree" cost wise the super trees certainly could be cheaper, but to me it's the most cost effective way to do good looking trees in bulk. The time it takes to do those wire trees is a little bit more than I'd like to spend for a full Forrest. Having done 150 wire armatures for my vineyard scene I can only think the trees would take significantly longer. Lol
I go on vacation every year in Watkins Glen. You mention Seneca lake, is this scene close to Watkins Glen? I know there is a cargill mill in town and up by the race track there is another set of tracks. They must be different lines because there is a lot of elevation change from the track to the town
It actually is the same line! The grade is very relatively long from Himrod to Watkins Glen so it doesn't give them too much trouble with the shorter trains they take back and forth. I have plans to add on to the layout at some point, to add Watkins Glen.
Good looking scene. I like how the trains passover and under each other at the same time. Great modelling!
Wow the scenery is looking great !!
Good looking fall scene you’re developing…railfanning that area is gonna be awesome
Looking great! I can tell you put a lot of effort into the under the bridge shot. Lots of great details.
Thank you!

Still deciding what I'm gonna do for scenery there. We shall see.
Great looking job
Looking awesome!

That's my favorite scene too.
... For now... 😁
