Thank you doc. I recently saw a case of COVID-19 patient, who had sudden decrease in Spo2 and went into tachycardia and tachypnea lead to wash out co2 and caused alkalosis, and alkalosis led to the displacement of H+ ions from albumin which is replaced by Calcium ions, which in turn caused hypocalcemia which literally led patient into hypocalcemic tetany, then pt was given calcium gluconate, and patient was stabilised. I wanted to review this again that's how i got your video here. You explained it very well.

My boyfriend has had 2 seizures in a month's period of time and this is a new thing for him. He also has been shaky and he doesn't sleep well and some other symptoms. We went to a new doctor and he ordered bloodwork and it looks like he only ordered the total blood calcium to be checked but I was wondering if that would give a full picture? Should he not have also checked the free calcium?
Next step is to see a neurologist.

Are you a functional medicine doctor? Because you strike me as one which is a wonderful thing. I've only ever truly been helped by that kind of doctor.
I mean absolutely no offense if you are not because I get a strong sense that you are one of those rare, extremely knowledgeable and thorough doctors either way.
