I played Chess for the last two years, it got more and more depressing because I played defensive and fearful and then get rage attacks when I lose, now I started playing gambits and try to learn from Simon's attacking style and Chess has gotten fun again! I wonder how many people go half crazy playing Chess with obsessive personality traits..

This game can absolutely drive you mad. Will always make you feel a fool. Even if you are Magnus. I do wonder if it's worth it. I'm not sure it is.

For anyone interested in the game 4 Dutch defence: Simon won an immortal classical game, reaching almost the exact same position as in this titled tuesday, against Wojtaszek in 2011. Radoslaw also played Rd5!
Wojtaszek, Radoslaw (2721) vs Williams, Simon Kim (2520)
    2011 · Dutch, classical variation (A96) · 0-1
    1.d4 e6 2.Nf3 f5 3.g3 Nf6 4.Bg2 Be7 5.O-O O-O 6.c4 d6 7.Qc2 a5 8.Nc3 Nc6 9.b3 e5 10.dxe5 dxe5 11.Rd1 Qe8 12.Nb5 Qh5 13.Nxc7 f4 14.Nxa8 Bc5 15.Rd5 Nb4 16.Rxe5 Nxc2 17.Rxh5 Nxh5 18.Rb1 fxg3 19.hxg3 Nxg3 20.Rb2 Bf5 0-1

that's exactly what I was thinking: it's one of the most well-known of Simon Williams's games so I wouldn't even be surprised if GM Krakozia had studied/encountered the position before.

Turns out, the game that starts at 33:26 , Simon was actually playing against Kramnik in disguise (against the rules) on his cheating exploration crusade. That explains a lot lol

I noticed you made a massive and silly error at the end of the first game. You said "You start to realise your 'mortality'" but what you in fact meant to say was more talented.

44:10... Perhaps a crazy line, don't know... But what about... Ne4? You attack f2 again, Q cannot take because of Bf5 wins the Q and after Rxc5 you can or take back, or take g3 or being the B to f5 again...

In game three or four when you wiggled all your pieces in to position I think you forgot to open lines.Development also neglected. I guess I am just a fan of striking first and positioning later. I feel that positioning can go on for ever: "I want this here... Is this better here or here? I don't know.." Well nobody knows bcoz 11 milion variations. Meanwhile undevelopped and deprived of possibilities? "Where is my knight gonna go?" Gheez...

It doesn't matter how good the players in the chat are, anyone can suggest a good move without knowing why exactly, but the GM can see the move and use it with his knowledge. I always thought streaming chess should have a different rating, call it consultation chess. Besides it wouldn't be strange to have someone in the chat stronger than the streamer.
