    Just because the wheel stops spinning doesn't mean the air is bled out of the system.

    I have a 97 xplorer 500. What parts did you need for the rear hub brakes? Knuckle, hub and caliper or did you need different axle shafts as well? Thanks in advanced the brake on the trans is sub par.

      The brake lines
      adapter from flare to An
      Caliper
      Bearing carrier with ears for brake caliper
      Rotor and hub - modified: cut off at the splines. Reused the 99 axles that ride in the bearing ID.

      used ebay 05 sportsman 500 HO rear hub, bearing carrier and caliper. Find them separately or a whole rear right assembly. The best ones are 'or best offer' and you can try to get them for less. Pause the video where I put up the pictures of these parts and you will see the shiny part of the hub where I cut and ground the hub off so it only has the splines for my old style axle shaft that rides in the bearing.

      @@old509cc2 guessing your from Illinois with badlands and the cliffs videos. I'm 10 mi west of joliet. Thanks again for all the info. The brakes suck with factory tires let alone the 27 inch outlaws I run on mine. Hopefully this will help

    hey bud , is the black elbow on the back side of the master cylinder supposed to be fixed in place or is it ok if it spins , i ordered it from amazon and it spins both ways clock and counter clock wise ... the original one is tight and fixed in place pointing toward the back ??? ...my caliper piston is free and moves in and out well and works with the hand brake but not with the foot bake , i get fluid coming out when i bleed it but it wont push the piston out with the foot pedal ... ty ia for you pointers

      Black elbow swivels with the reservoir hose. Maybe yours is built different.

    I am needing a master cylinder for my 99 ranger and they are no longer available from Polaris. How did you find the replacement wilwood part and cross reference the fit?

    • @old509cc2
      @old509cc2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish I could provide a know part for you, but there is no official cross reference. For my application, i am the cross reference. The video description here has a link for a thread on polarisatvforums to keep track of this part and others.
      I looked around and between the picture on Partzillas site for the rebuild kit, and what Wilwood has in their catalog, I believe you need a 12384. This appears to be the right bore size, and smallest package that should either fit your machine, or be the best candidate to modify your machine to accept.
