I fully believe what he said: the violin maker has to respect the creation process ( and all of its ins, outs, and hardships), then they will be able to craft an instrument of proper quality. Thank you, Sir for talking us through your creative process.
I love to know how you do it........i am just repairing this time with guitars and violin....i have spend most my time in learning how to play guitar and violin and its been late i know that repairing and making will be my passion and livelihood for a lifetime.....goodluck to you thanks for sharing your knowledge I wish to know the things you know......
im curious how do violin get the kinda thick sound like oistrakh's violin... is it cause the violin is super old ?? its like as if playing on sul G throughout the whole piece
Try using a pair of Playtex or other latex gloves when sanding by hand the hard to get to areas. You will find it a LOT easier as the rubber gloves grip the sandpaper better than your flesh :-) Also, glue 2 pieces of sandpaper together (various sizes) with rubber cement, abrasive sides out. This will also help you to grip the sandpaper when sanding by hand. Nice video!
I agree. It's absolutely forbidden to call "Champagne" a sparkling wine made out of the french Champagne region. Champagne professionals have a juridical institution which institutes legal proceeding against this kind of offence. But everyone could make sparkling wine with the notice "selon la méthode traditionnelle champenoise" (made with the traditional method of Champagne) Though in this case, it's only violins "made with the traditional method of Cremona" but not Cremona violins
I think you should try making classical guitars! Sure, it is different, but please don't leave us (guitarists) alone!!!! Anyway I think you make great intruments!!!! Good luck!!
I could watch a violin, cello, or viola being made all day! It is so amazing to see a block of wood become a priceless piece of art.

Complimenti maestro. Bellissima produzione.
@joel5623333 Champagne is made exclusively in that part of France. There is one Cremona as far as violin making and that is in Italy.
Ciao Marco, Hai fatto una bella presentazione. Complimenti Ti saluto dal Giappone.
I love the title. It's like the saying, "Champagne made in California!"
Bravo Marco....
Anyone have an idea on what music was being played in the background?
I wish you had more videos I would love to see more of your work. Is there a DVD? If so where can i buy it..... P.S keep up the good work
Wow, you really know your stuff! Can you make a copy of an Amati, 1566?
This is fascinating. Bucketlist: learn wood carving, carve/ do my own instrument.
