If you play the live in concert version, you will really appreciate this song a bit more. Even if you don't react to it, at least do yourself a favour & watch it. If you count them, there are 14 solos' in this song. Four in the main part of the song & then the 10 at the end in conversation mode.
It is still my favorite performance from them.
Yeah, their former bassist Miho always played without a pick and so does her replacement Fami from what we have seen so far. And Scream for Me is a fun song. Not super complex, but there are some cool riffs, satisfying changes and the shredding is awesome as usual.
The Scream For Me version from the Battle in the East 2018 release is very good. In general, this concert is the heaviest and most brutal of all. There is practically no glamour. Long hair in a mess, the atmosphere of a real rock or metal performance. Miyako is completely different. The musicians look like heroes of the rock scene of the 70s, only without these funny outfits in the ridiculous fashion of that time. This atmosphere is still a bit present in Daughters of Dawn 2019 and the almost disappears on later releases. I can't say that it got worse. It's just different. Surprisingly, Battle in the East 2018 is getting better and better over time. I must say that the video and sound quality on this release is the usual for all blu-ray Love bites, that is, great. Which further increases its value. At this concert, the band played the entire LP Awakening From Abyss and the EP Battle Against Damnation. The golden classic of Lovebites.
my 4rth favorite album my 3rd is the next album Clockwork Immortality my 2nd favorite is the next album Electric Pentagram and My favorite is 2023's Judgement Day they keep getting better as they go also love all 4 EP's/Single's (Has 4 songs more like an EP) and their 6 lives includes the 2 part Knocking at Heavens Gate with Fami.
in my top 5 for Lovebites! This song showcases M&M. They are let loose and just amazing shredding happens.
The best version for me is the 2019 daughters of the dawn live performance. ]:) this is 2nd best for me though. The showdown between Midori and Miyako is more on display in the Real Live show compared to studio live. BTW The Keybords get used on "Burden of Time" where Miyako shows us how to play Guitar and Keyboards at the same time.
Whenever I hear this song, I almost start laughing too, remembering the scene where Midori almost fell down at their 2019 concert.
Even though I love the 2019 live version, the guitar work is much cleaner here.
