Yea the "swinging from clouds" thing was a huge ongoing joke with the older Spider-Man games when you were swinging around the city. I think it was the Spider-Man 2 game that was the first to make it to where you had to actually anchor your web onto something physical instead of just swinging from the sky.
"Well, then get aaaaaaaaaallll the way off my back..." Good stuff! Spider Gwen seemed to be the one that was most emotionally stable, so I am looking forward to seeing her in her own movie or a Spider-Man Movie. Very fun video!
Interesting tidbit, "dad bod" Spidey was actually OG Spidey, the one from the comics we all grew up with, but from a few years in the future. When the computer screens are displaying the data from the collider, it shows all the Earth designations for each version, and one of them is Earth-616, the prime Marvel Comics timeline. I believe the other Earth designations matched the Spideys that showed up too.
@MrGonzale09 It doesn’t work with Wonder Woman. It’s supposed to be a serious movie as close as its source material as possible as yet isn’t. A cartoon movie of Spiderman is different. It’s meant to be silly at times.
“How do you want to to do this?” Is what the DM of the really popular Twitch D&D show says when they defeat a notable enemy. He lets them describe their character’s takedown.
The part where they all shoots their webs in the sky, attaching them to the clouds, always reminded me of the old Spiderman videogames, even the one based on the first Sam Raimi movie, cause only from the Spiderman 2 videogame they made and started using a system where spider webs actually attached to skyscrapers instead of the sky/clouds. Maybe a reference? 🤔Mmm...
Me: I'mm a need you to get all the way off my back about finishing my job. My boss: I'mm a need you to get all the way off my property because you're fired.
I only just saw the movie today, and I was genuinely surprised at how much I liked it. Peter Parker / Spider-Man has been my favorite superhero for as long as I can remember, but thanks to this movie, I'm completely on-board the Miles Morales train. And, for that matter, the Spider-Gwen train. Really, I enjoyed every one of those characters, and especially enjoyed watching Miles interact with the three mentor-figures (Jeff, Aaron, Peter B.) and seeing how each one contributed to his positive development, in their own way. One very tiny complaint was the final battle; six spider-beings, fighting as a team, should be able to smack down anything short of Thanos. My head tells me that the Pitch Meeting is a more accurate recap, but my heart tells me that Honest Trailer must win, due to the Epic-Voice-Verse. P.S. Yeah, who at marvel thought that Jefferson Davis was an appropriate name? They could have literally used any other first name with Davis, or any other sir-name with Jefferson, and NOT have been cringe-inducing.
I'm not quite sure but I think the suit that got destroyed belonged to that girl's dad or something. That was a reason why she was sad about it getting destroyed.
My favourite spiderman movies 8. Spider-Man 3 7. Amazing Spider-Man 2 6. Into the Spider-verse 5. Spider-Man Homecoming 4. Amazing Spider-Man 1 3. Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 2 1. Spider-Man far from home Mysterio is my favorite Spider-Man villain
Nowadays they don't make the movie like they used to, back then movie like Godfather, Scarface, Raging bull, Platoon, Clock work orange,...etc you don't see Pitch Meeting or Honest Trailer make fun of it
Okay... So.... Honest Trailers Noir -- that's Matt Mercer.... Right? I mean "critical", "the master of this dungeon", "continue this quest"? Edit: Or is that four of the six of Critical Role?
The Australian guy sounds like Mr. Sunday Movies. I listen to his podcast The Weekly Planet on Mondays. No I don't work for him. You should give them a listen. Do you know of any movie related podcasts we should know about?
Honest Trailer tried way too hard on this one. But to their credit, this movie was so good, they didn't have much to work with! Although, RG did make the Pitch Meeting hilarious as usual. This is probably my favorite Spiderman movie! Spiderman 2 is the best of the Toby movies for sure, but I think this one might be the best overall. It's just SO good.
It wasn't clouds they used, it was a fleet of out of frame dirigibles just above the clouds. It can be creatively stimulating to think of ways to correct little problems. Honest Trailers dropped the ball this time. It was unusually messy. Pitch Meeting good though. Spider-Man is super relatable, one of few characters they try something like this with and not get too many fans undies in a knot. He also has a lot of movies, so nothing is lost by doing something different. It would be an enormous risk to do that with someone like Batman, also relatable, only more dramatic. It would be risky but I feel Batman's parents dying in an alley back story and ongoing angst could be hindering. Trying out a few new ones with totally different slants would be interesting. I know they've done so things before but ones that could be a viable alternate Batman would be interesting.
I could see DC doing something like Spider-Verse with Nightwing or Batgirl. Not a dimension type story, but in the way they have to become their own hero in a city that already has a great one. I could see that...maybe, lol
@@OnMyMindEntertainment Actually that's intriguing. They have to live in a very big shadow and finding a way for either to carve out a niche of their own under those circumstances has lot of potential. You could get more than one good film Including a crossover.
The one thing I can't stand about these animated movies when there's also a TV show, is that the movie is always just a re-cut adaptation of the longest running story arc in the series... In Ultimate Spider-Man, there was a 4 or 5 part arc (years prior) that was this movie pretty much exactly... it's like that with a few other things too 🤷♂️ But the movie was a good cut I guess 🤷😆
You got to watch Ryan’s 1 million subscriber video. You have to pause and read the NEWS clip it’s hilarious! 😂 (I actually kind of liked Honest Trailer a little more for once) 🤷🏻 just a little
I've never been back to this pitch meeting, unfortunately. The fact that he didn't realize the importance of the robot to Penny just shows he didn't really do his research.
But his riff on it is what most people were thinking. I even thought the same thing. I wasn't commected to the additional side Spider-Mans other than Gwen, Peter and Miles anyways.
@@gFamWeb it’s a little bit of both really, I definitely didn’t exactly understand the importance of the robot, and because the movie was so good a slightly weaker part of the movie is what’s left to criticize
Never seen this film, and after watching these two HT & PM - I don't think I ever will. It looks like a god awful nanby-panby gen z mess. I'll stick with Spider-Man 1 & 2
I love how Ryan found these things in a movie as praised as this one. He really is an otherworldly comedian!
Right!!!
One of my favorite parts of this movie is when the song is playing when everyone is receiving a message about Peter Parker being killed
That whole story element really surprised me and it was handled very well.
That’s was a very emotional scene.
That moment gave me goosebumps
It think Pitch Meeting got this one.
By the way, Ryan just got to 1 million subs and made a great video for it. Thanks for the laughter Mike!
I'll check it out! Thanks Bruce!!!

This was the first pitch meeting I watched. Hooked ever since
Oh wow!
Yes, they attach their webs to clouds and just swing away.
It’s been a fine tradition in Spider-Man animation since 1967!
I love how Honest Trailers had Mr. Sunday Movies as a voice cameo.
I can watch this movie over and over. Great VFX
If Wonder Womans Lasso can latch onto Lightning, then Spiderman should absolutely be able to latch onto Clouds. I don't see the Problem here. 😆

I agree bro. Into the Spiderverse was awesome.
I never knew I needed John Mulaney and Nicolas Cage in a Spider-man movie but, like come on, it was great.
