Yes, if Himachali winters, snow and snowfall is something you are interested in then October to March is a great option. Though be mindful of road blockages and sudden change in plans due to harsh weather conditions

Hello 👋 The drive from Shimla to Manali takes 7hours but if you plan to visit some tourist spots on the way then it will take up to 9-10hours The road is fairly good but it is always advisable to go with an experienced driver Since you will be starting after 12 noon, I will suggest that you avoid visiting tourist spots and drive straight to Manali

You could also talk to travel agents. There are many shops at the Mall road. They will make all the arrangements for you. You can also visit the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Department office which is on the Mall road for a more detailed info.
