Old Baroness acoustic shows are keeping me alive. Thank you to everyone finding strength or solidarity in this music. Never found music more powerful for the harder moments.
I love this band. Little story coming if you wanna read. Before i discovered them, i was at a show to see The Sword at the Union Transfer in Philly when some guy approached me and asked about my Lamb Of God tour hoodie. He said he was doing lights and/or sound for them at some venue coming up. My usually SUPER talkative buddy was quiet as a mouse standing next to me the entire time and waited for the guy to walk away before he asked with a shit eating grin if i knew the guy. I said, "Nah, but he seemed like an awesome guy." I finally figured out like a year later that it was JDB. What a great musician, artist, and (before i even knew him as the previous two) a great guy. Oh, and now he's touring with LoG and Killswitch currently. Coincidence? I think not.
When I called on my nursemaid Come sit by my side But she cuts through my ribcage And pushes the pills deep in my eyes (eyes, eyes, eyes) The taste was much sweeter Than chlorine and wine And my doctor's unable To cut through cable that leads to my mind (mind, mind, mind) In spite of the winter There's ways to keep warm Whatever you give me Please know that I'll ask you for more (more, more, more) The day I stopped swimming Came out of the tide I'd never felt so uncomfortably dumb Here by your side (your side, by your side, by your side, by your) Black rose on the bed Turn me to fire Black rose in the vein Shine in your eye Please Don't lay me down Under the rocks where I found My place in the ground A home for all fathers and sons Black rose on the bed Turn me to fire Black rose in the vein Shine in your eye Please Don't lay me down
This is magical. Gina is such a great addition to the band.
Is true bro!
Baroness touches my soul like few bands ever have. gut wrenching beauty.

They need to release an acoustic EP. It would sound amazing.
She has become one of my all time favourite musicians. The soul she puts in. Ahh! So good.
Gina looks like she's about to cry the whole time. I love it!!

What band shirt is John wearing?
Gold&Grey album
Gina is great!
When I called on my nursemaid
Come sit by my side
But she cuts through my ribcage
And pushes the pills deep in my eyes (eyes, eyes, eyes)
The taste was much sweeter
Than chlorine and wine
And my doctor's unable
To cut through cable that leads to my mind (mind, mind, mind)
In spite of the winter
There's ways to keep warm
Whatever you give me
Please know that I'll ask you for more (more, more, more)
The day I stopped swimming
Came out of the tide
I'd never felt so uncomfortably dumb
Here by your side (your side, by your side, by your side, by your)
Black rose on the bed
Turn me to fire
Black rose in the vein
Shine in your eye
Please
Don't lay me down
Under the rocks where I found
My place in the ground
A home for all fathers and sons
Black rose on the bed
Turn me to fire
Black rose in the vein
Shine in your eye
Please
Don't lay me down
Captain needed: Which bands shirt is John wearing?
Is there a band called Royal Coach or anything close?
Royal headache. One of Australia’s finest.

I think I'm in love with Gina.
What tuning is this?
I think it's drop C
i believe this is down a full step (DAFCGD)
Down a full step indeed! The few chords I've figured out were at least Am, C ,G and B. Haven't figured out the rest yet
The original recording is in drop c. This acoustic version is in D standard
I just went through all these questions in my mind before I came to the comments. Thank you guys for working together on it. It was helpful, cheers!
Gina and John.Period.
😭 kind of like the milk carton kids. If they smoked pot instead of pole.
I wish it was more metal to soft i found it to be
“More metal I wish it was, too soft I found it to be” - yoda
Well it is an acoustic performance with nothing else, of course it’s gonna be soft.
underneath all the electric fuzz and noise, baroness is a country band..... I guess
More like Folk
pigtails is a hot look for gina:D
wow, she messes up a lot during solos
When it comes to solo, Pete takes the cake.
she hit some sour notes outside the key here and there, but overall it was fine.
maybe next time try watching it with ear muffs on and playing it yourself
You ever played live bro? Everyone makes mistakes. This song and this version are magical and that’s all you got?
