A village center is for every race. You try to build a towncenter anywhere and it lays down a village center foundation. It can also produce villagers.
I forgot, the Village Centre doesn't provide population increase and it trains villagers not quite as fast as Town Centres? Or am I thinking of something else?
Not collecting the faster villager time relic and gathering berries instead of hunt cost you production, and so the advantage your opponent had eco wise compounded over time to the point where you couldnt catch up.
You got one little raid in but otherwise just tried to boom in the face of aggression and that doesn't work unless you massively outskill your opponent. Even if you had got your walls up earlier that's literally what Undermine as an Age 2 god power is for. Edit: upon reflection, I see you're mostly an Aoe3 player, and I acknowledge that the home city/shipment system does make booming under pressure a lot more viable because you still get exp from defensive kills and powerful shipments can swing the game as long as you have a shipment point. The free myth unit is nice but advancing in AOM doesn't have politician bonuses or unlocks more powerful cards that you can save up shipments for, however unit upgrades and god powers are very good, so it's more important to stay the same age as your opponent or to have an overwhelming military presence already.
your micro is poor. As poseidon when facing norse especially Loki and Thor, they have access to Bragi so Hermes is prefer for his Censefire as it counters flaming weapons When playing Poseidon main thing to do is split your raiding army in two. Cav+Lion should be raiding units. you want to get lion to stun villagers and cav to kill enemy villagers. 10 cav and 2 Lions is what you need to start clean proper raid. The rest of your army should be hoplites(6-7 units) and Toxotes. The name of the game is to rush heroic age -> build 10 cav +2 lion units ->successfully raid and put your opponent behind in villager count -> build enough unit to match his army ->advance to mythic age and put down a heph vault. Now you use Heph vault to catch-up in unit tech and armory tech. you should be Massively behind armory teching but always try keep at least an equal army to your opponent.Slow out-scale your opponent with extra resources to comeback to equal teching as your opponent and army. if successful, you should be able to build titan before your opponent. your printing too many units in classical age. your not advancing heroic age as quickly as possible and your not raiding your opponent correctly to put them behind.

You can use the pestilence for the tower rush, it will stop the arrows, otherwise nice game

As far as I know, Loki has a very bad economy at the beginning, but it has a military force that if allowed to grow, it could cost the game
