I´m Italian, and I felt the altitude for no more than 5 days after that I felt like a Bogotano and I was living there for 1 year, which was the maximum I was allowed to stay in the country. The people were very friendly and from the Bogota airport you can travel to any part of Colombia and the world easily. The water is drinkable in Bogota and you can drink from the tap, the rumba excellent and beautiful women as in all Colombia, I hope to come back soon! The center of Bogota is not nice, similar to NY 20 years ago, but the north is spectacular.
