- Hopefully the Teardrop remains for a while longer.

Nice old VS new crossing
Thanks!
There is a railway crossing in West Vancouver, BC that has a US&S Teardrop Bell! I have visited that railway crossing but hopefully soon, I could get a train at that railway crossing.
Cool crossing. It's a shame they removed the WRRS bell, at least it was replaced with another m-bell. Nice to see they kept the US&S lights and the teardrop bell. I have been enjoying your crossing tours.
Thanks! I feel the same way about the upgrades they did here. Though I wonder what they'll be doing with the US&S cantilever, as they all avoided getting upgraded to LEDs when CSX replaced most of the 8 inch lights along this line.
I checked over there on a trip to Nashville, and it seems like the Teardrop bell is still there!
That's good to hear!
We used to have two all US&S cantilevers at a crossing here in pittsburgh. They were built in the 1950s and never had anything replaced on them. US&S everything, the lights gate mechanisms, the cantilevers and the bell, and they even had old cast iron cat eye crossbucks. They got scrapped in 2012 however when the rail line was abandoned
Well that's a shame.
Railroad crossings on I 55 in Illinois(my state) has a bunch of crossings with suicide gates(quad gates). With 12 by 20 inch WCH 2nd gen lights. WCH gate and WCH electronic bell. Some have Safetran or GS type-2.
Nice.
Railroad crossings on I-55?
I wonder the wrrs mechanical Bell probably just died
Is that an old NC&StL Install?
Believe so, yea.
Why don't the railroads use the same crossings everywhere?
Money, contracts, etc.
YEP!
Bad news, the mechanical bells at Old Trinity Road have been replaced:-(
Really? I guess I need to get back out there.
***** yes. With Safetran type 3
John McCormick Ah.
+freebrickproductions and Jackson street got gates. And Alabama Street are about to get replaced
John McCormick No surprised about Jackson Street. Is it quad gates?
Is this abandoned?
No. In fact, I caught a train here last month.
@@freebrickproductions oh cool
@@freebrickproductions l saw a abandoned railroad crossing in lodi california on ham lane
@@freebrickproductions it's a spur line
