I guess I'm just surprised that it was ever a different thing, but it seems they definitely liked the number anyway, it's a really specific one to reuse if this was just a simple mistake.

My headcanon is that it was indeed the simpsons' house (the simpsons were locked in the basement) and it had been taken over by the criminals and disguised to try and avoid detection by the authorities up until that point ...don't tell me it's too far-fetched, stranger things have happened to _that_ family.
