I have one and find it can sound very warm but so many of the presets have that glassy texture people write it off.

When u tweak parameters on a patch, then turn the unit off and back on - does it default to the original settings? Gr8 vid, an easy like...

Yes, you have to overwrite the sound if you want to keep all the changes ;)

reading so many horror stories about both the Iridium(desktop) and the Quantum MK1, i have to ask have you encountered any bugs or build qualities with your Iridium?

Yes, same synth but here you have 16 voices (12 voices on iridium core) and poly aftertouch
